    Westinghouse LD-4258, blown LED diode

    i guys,
    I got this TV for free, with no back light. I saw videos online about shorted flat ribbon cables, so I opened it up thinking that's what it is. I removed the cable entirely and looked at it carefully, it doesn't seem to have any shorts. Noticed there was a shorted diode D32 near the LED connectors (CON19/20). I replaced the diode, and switched on the TV, the Backlights came on..and the TV seemed to work. But after a few minutes the diode started smoking again and went out. Something is drawing a lot of current through the diode, but there are no signs of burning on the board itself (as should have happened if something on the board were drawing alot of current). The voltage at the LED connector starts out at about 50V and slowly drops to about 43 V before the diode overheats and craps out. Anyone have any ideas what on earth this is? I cannot test just one side of the LED, since disconnecting it seems to shut down the TV immediately. I am at work, so I can't post any pictures right now.

    Corsair RM 750 blown schottky diode near ES1DF
    by iyas132
    Hi there, i am currently diagnosing my corsair rm750 that wont turn on, after a power trip.

    Before the power trip, previously i need to push power button on my pc case quite a bit in order to turn the pc (and power supply on), however after the power trip now i cannot turn the pc on at all and i opened the power supply, and found out some of the component(s) are blown. (picture attached)

    My current diagnostic is that the (schottky) diode marked "SF" in the 5Vsb circuit are blown and possibly the ES1DF diode too.

    Can anyone help me identify the component...

    Help with a blown Diode (Lenovo 15ith6h)
    by MrSparkle91
    Hello everyone,

    I have recently gone to clean my laptop and noticed a bad Diode that's gone poof. I have also located it on the schematic also.

    Whilst I'm good at repairing stuff in general, I would like some kind insight into what I'm working with here and the Diode I would need.

    I have checked the whole laptop and suffer no issues usability wise, which is why I was shocked to find this, but am I right in thinking this is power voltage related?

    Thanks in advance....

    all
    I have a usb rechargeable hair trimmers that should work plugged in and charge
    it stopped working no led norhing

    I've opened it up and see the tp4056 chip has blown
    There is a zener diode that I tested and get a near short ohms reading no matter which way my leads are
    I don't know what to replace this with
    Please help
    thanks so much...

    Toshiba VCR / DVD blown diode?
    by mikay786
    I've got a shorted SB390 diode which was in parallel with UF5408 diode.

    d1031 = uf5408
    d1035 = sb390

    service manual pages 1-14-25 & 1-14-26

    Ive found a equivalent for the SB390 in the SB3H90

    what i wanted to know is it likely that the UF5408 has already been replaced?

    As in originally both diodes would have been SB390s

    So if i were to replace the pair could i replace both with SB3H90?...

    Chi Mei M236H1-L01 C2 Blown Diode Acer 24"
    by nubie
    Due to some moisture the VGHP/HVS1 line shorted and this diode D8 blew. The picture is there. It just fades in after some minutes and is quite solarized. Updates again take minutes.

    Any idea what Dioide to use? Thx.

    Many thanks...
