The topmost sheet, the thin one, is the back polarizer, doesn't matter about 3D or non 3D..Leave a comment:

Yea as davi says and I thought I implied as well, it's for the light. It will work most likely. I've found some of them have different thicknesses, but they have still always worked even with the difference.
The sheet or sheets that are on top of the diffuser should be saved for the same TV, don't transfer a different tvs sheets to the 3d tv though.- Selected Answer

but i arleady answered this, 3D or non 3D doesn't matter, the diffuser is only to diffuse the light!Leave a comment:

Yes edgelit diffuser I meant from the begging, I didn't clarify this sorry. So, as your are saying that 3d is not important in this case, diffuser has the same design as non-3d TVs.Leave a comment:

Yes,maybe the LEDs need to be replaced but the 3D reference here applies to the diffuser and not for the LEDs. So the question was if a 3d TV uses a diffuser with a special design, specifically for TVs that are able to view 3D pictures.3D or not 3D doesn't apply, the leds normally do not heat too much, the fact that them has done means them are not perfect or the power board has a problem, my brother's Samsung developed trough last years some halos on the bottom, then one day leds failed, maybe two, this means the test of few seconds is not enough to say leds are ok, furthernore leds testers do not apply much current..
long story short: replace leds.Leave a comment:

I replace diffusers from different tvs all the time. They work fine. They have to be edgelit diffusers as the other ones which have full array won't work.
I would replace the LEDs also .. they are generally like 20$ on eBay or cheaper if you do AliExpress.

Replace an LG 49UH850V cracked diffuser
This specific model, LG 49UH850V, is 3D. The problem here is that the diffuser has been cracked at the bottom, where the LED strip is installed, due to the heat from the LEDs. This is a common problem for many LGs and Samsung TVs.
The questions here are
1) Can I replace the diffuser from a non-3D LG TV with the same size (exact fit)?
2) If I replace the diffuser with the original part, do I have to replace the LED strips also? They work as expected, but some technicians recommend replacing them together.

by unimatrix93Dear community, I want to increase the lifespan of my backlight led in my TV by decreasing the current.
However I need some help identifying the resistor I need to replace to achieve this.
Thank you!

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by V3dranHello,
I'm trying to repair a UE50NU7022KXXH with a cracked diffuser/lpg and now also with burned leds
There are 4/5 white spots on the bottom that are not visible since the left side is dark now so I want to change the diffuser/lpg
Looking the samsung spare parts, I see that there is a DIFFUSER PLATE and a LPG so I'm wondering what is really broken?

by PipolupsHi there !
I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...10-08-2024, 11:58 AM - Loading...
