model number and pictures of the boards will help you more with fixing your tv -
Re: samsung 50 inch no pic but sound
First it was 50" main in 42" with no hint of the model , which required no response as the question had been answered in the thread you put it in but I gave you a response anyway in case you did not understand, now this.
Is this the same Tv or what?
Give us pictures, model, board numbers and what fault finding you've done so far.
We can see you're new and everyone likes helping out here.
There's numerous versions of your Tv and boards but the ymain looks common.
It's combined buffer and ymain so that would be my prime suspect. You could get a meter and check that vsus is on at the psu. If it has sound then the TV is on so good chance the pSU is ok.
Identify your boards and start looking for a ymain. Could be a rare one and expensive.
Examples of some of the boards that could be in this TV.Last edited by tw2005; 10-04-2014, 05:46 PM.Comment

Not true. You've been spraying random posts all over the place and have received replies which appear to be ignored and you still keep posting.

Re: samsung 50 inch no pic but sound
I'm trying to edit my post, adding a flowchart and powerpoint presentation for this and that's as far as I'll go until you have a read. Samsung are not my speciality but sound , no pic quite often is the ymain/buffers with these and the models before had the same issue with blown ymain and upper buffer but yours is combined so I would go down the path of finding one of those.Comment

Re: samsung 50 inch no pic but sound
I'm thinking this would be the correct thread for posting about my PN50A450P1D with no picture, but has audio. All the Vs, Va, Ve, and Vsc voltages are correct via the test points on the boards. I've found the service manual for my TV (and I can attach it if requested), and went through all the troubleshooting steps listed in there (flow charts, voltages, etc). An internet search for Samsung plasma troubleshooting led me to the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjrwTZC5nVg
Test patterns never showed, at all. The only thing I could get to show on the TV was a blinking red pixel when I connected a tablet via HDMI. Couldn't get a picture to post because of the frequency of the blink.
All the fuses, even the soldered ones, test good. No bulging capacitors are present. On the logic board, the LED blinks about once every second (which I'm led to believe means the Xmain, and Ymain are good), so I'm thoroughly lost on this TV.
If there is something I'm missing, please tell me so I can do it.
Thank you,

by TeckmanHello friends,
I have a 65 inch Samsung TV here with a problem. The screen no longer has a "normal" image, but random color everywhere. Sound can be heard from the television from a program that is playing.
The TV backlights are all fine and working great so I don't know where else the problem could be.
Would anyone happen to know what the problem would be and what part would need to be replaced?
Thank you in advance for your effort and cooperation!... -
by jchangHi all
I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.
Symptom:
No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
No sound at all.
What I tried:
1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon... -
by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...-

Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power... - Loading...
