    Toshiba 42hp66 plasma

TOSHIBA 42HP66 PLASMA 8 years old.

The picture has a black smear, that fills at least half the left side of the screen, and within the first few minutes, the black smear moves out of the way to the left. It does this on all inputs.
It is not a hard line smear, it is kind of a irregular smear, that is totally black.
Even after most of the picture appears, within the first 10 minutes, the overall picture is dark with lousy color, and and overall dark image.

The attached picture doesn't do it justice, but will give you an idea of the issue.
Kinda looks like panel issue to me, but would like any input I could get.
    Thanks in advance.
