I have this un50M5300AFXZA that's exhibiting some strange behavior. When powered on it displays white with some horizontal lines, then goes to a vertical strobing from the center of the screen to each side. I've never seen something like this before, but I'm thinking it could be the tcon or main board. The behavior and patterns are consistent across both sides of the screen, so I don't think it's a panel issue but I could be wrong.

Tried disconnecting left and right panel flex one at a time to see if either 1/2 of the panel has the error? On most Samsungs, require jumper FB_TRDY_1 pin.

Does main have SPDIF light? when thats on, it usually means main mostly booted okay. Also does main make UI sounds? If so then smarttv OS is running.
I guess check t-con inductors for voltage rails to see if they make sense.Comment

Hi all Happy Holidays! Was just wondering if you think this white vertical bar would be fixable. Maybe bad TCon or ribbon cable? Contemplating trading a 50 inch Hisense 4K Roku for the Samsung but might get burned lol. The Samsung is model QN65Q80AAFXZC QLED TV has a white vertical Bar. Any thought appreciated. Thanks.
