Good day everyone,
I have a AIWA 32" TV model #
AW32B4SM that is turning ON with a blank screen. The backlight is working but there is no image on the screen. I did the standard troubleshooting checks: logic board inspection under microscope, reseating ribbons cables, power rail checks, diodes, mosfet checks, power on and measure voltages on coils, caps, vcc, regulator checks all check good. Then I measured the panel voltage (12v present) and noticed that the VONE (approximately 30v) was missing, the AVDD (15v) was only 5v, vcc 3.3v present, vcc 1.8v present. I know when the SM4186 chip detects a dault, it goes into safe mode dropping vone and avdd. I got the schematic of ghost chip and checked fir any shorter capacitors but no luck. I noticed as soon as the TV is powered ON, the chip attempts to turn the VONE Voltage but then it goes to zero (well 80mV). Next I decided to cut the 4 ckv signals between SM4286 and the COF. After doing this the TV was no different ss when i started. I believe the actual. I have attached some pictures for clarity. Any advice, suggestions or ideas will be most appreciated....regards
