    HITACHI 42PD3000E Plasma

    Hello,
I have the HITACHI 42PD3000E Plasma TV that comes with the external "media box" called AV3000.

The behaviour is that when I power the TV set from the remote, sometimes it turns on and operates normally and other times it makes a "clicking" sound, like relays going on and off, and either turns on after some few clicks or repeats this loop. In most cases, it eventually turns on.

I did some research and someone suggested that the switching regulator MOSFET I901 and D911 Zener diode need replacing. I unsoldered the diode and tested it with polymeter, it looks fine. I have no clue on how to test I901.
    All the capacitors look ok.

The attachment management keeps crashing on me when I try to upload schematics, I've uploaded them here . I am also attaching a picture of the power board in the AV3000 that shows some overheating strains in some parts in case you have a clue.

P.S: This TV set was meant to go to scrap and has been substituted. However I am starting practical electronics as a hobby and I was thinking it's a good start to start tinkering.

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
    by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

HITACHI U50KA6150 LED TV - Turns on, BKLT ok, no picture
    by magneh
    Hi there

Got this TV set to check.
    HITACHI U50KA6150 LED TV

The tv turns on ok, I can see on my PC that it detects the screen and I can see it on the screen settings, but theres no image.
Backlight is present. screen not broken or shattered.

Its this clearly a TCON or panel issue?
I dont think it can be a board issue, but im not a TV expert

Any inputs but someone more experiences is welcome before I disassemble the device or try to find a new tcon.

    Cheers

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable
    by Stephen
MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

LG L192WS-BN backlight turns off after 1 second
    by www
I am testing an old LG L192WS-BN monitor I have that gives an image, but has a backlight issue. When you turn it on the backlight turns on 1 second and it turns off, turns on again, 1 second and it turns off and stays off. Using a flashlight I can see there's still an image.

I replaced a bulged cap on the main board, but made no difference. I also got another exact same model monitor that has a broken ccfl (the connector got ripped from the panel and the main screen connector is also broken so I can't use this panel to test), tried using the main board from this one, same issue....

Hitachi Plasma TV 42HDT79 firmware upgrade
    by Yanleb
Do you know where I can find a firmware upgrade for the Hitachi 42HDT79 plasma TV? My set currently has firmware V0112.0001.

Their service website seems to be on SalesForce now, which requires a login.

    Thanks.
