Ok Tom, although I am accepting the possibility that I have a bad panel here, I am also sceptical due to the intermediate problems I am having here...Ive now gone and switched it on and its come back to a full picture...not perfect no...but not green

This make me wonder if there is a bad IC somewhere....I have done somersault's with this thing today...and everything i do seems to make it do something different...

In a perfect world i could just swap a few boards in and out, but are there some tests i can do on these circuits' to determine the panel is at fault?

Maybe you have two faults. The green screen intermittent could be a bad BGA. If your overlaid lines never go though, I can't see anything other than a panel issue for that problem.

I figured I may have a fault from this tv being stored resulting in poor conduction as well as original fault....What is a BGA? excuse my ignorance, but i don't understand why i can run the panel with a varied outcome over extended periods...it does not make sense to me...electronics are either faulty, or not....

BGA = Ball grid array. Failure in cracking solder joints; same fault as Xbox360/PS3 lights-of-death.

I suspect a major cause of the tab faults is the solder or glue bonding on the dies bonded to the tab flex failing, but I've found no reliable way to repair them.

Ive stripped the Tv down to expose all tabs now....I have been over each tab, manipulating it...rubbing joins with a chiseled chop stick whilst set is on...
I can not bring on any change, should I be able to?
I hope you don't feel I am wasting your time here..I currently have some time to waist so i dont mind playing around with it trying what i can....

I had a Samsung for which manipulating the tabs had no effect but simply blowing over them affected the pic. The one tab ic was heating up too much.
