I have a Westinghouse SK-32H240S that displays "no signal detected" and goes black. I replaced the main board and the t-con and still has the same issue. I've turned it on in the dark, looking through the back vents and i can see it light up white for a second (something another forum mentioned) so I assume it's not the power board inverter (no caps swollen or any burnt smells) Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Westinghouse SK-32H240S "no signal detected"
Can you see the "No Signal Detected" after the screen goes black if you look up real close to the screen and/or use a flashlight ? Sounds like the inverter section is shutting down. Post pictures of the set with back off and each individual board. -
Re: Westinghouse SK-32H240S "no signal detected"
"No signal detected" does not remain after the screen goes black. Issue apparent with vga, hdmi, and component connections. Displays the "W" when it's initially powered on just fine. I'll post pics shortly.Comment

Re: Westinghouse SK-32H240S "no signal detected"
It's important that you understand what I'm asking. I know the screen goes black and you can't *see* the "No Signal Detected" but that doesn't mean it's not there if you look close. You can't necessarily tell an inverter board is bad because there are no swollen caps and/or burning and smells.
If you hook up a source and change the input to it do you get sound ?Comment

Hi everyone, over the past few months i have taken a deep dive into motherboard diagnostics and I love the challenge. Currently im trying to learn all about the signals that travel around the motherboard, such as frequencies, enable signals High and Low logic states etc. And i have been learning to read and using the Schematics for this board that i requested here on Badcaps forum, from a few months ago, this is such a great place for these.
I’ve been working on a GA-970A-DS3 (rev. 1.0) that does not post. This motherboard has been my main learning board. I would like share...11-23-2023, 11:02 PM -
Samsung synchmaster 226BW.
Before I replaced 5 caps, the screen was dim.
Sometimes it wouldn't turn on.
I opened it up, and found 4 bad caps in the pwr supply section.
I unfortunately installee one backwards, i.e. wrong polarity.
When I turned it on, I head a loud pop, and I quickly shut it off.
The replaced caps are 3 860uF 25V's, and 1 330u 35V.
One of the 860uF blew.
I didn't have another 860uF at home, so I tried it with a 1000uF 35V cap (I remember the reading of the 1k uF cap was close...-

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.
Where is the short?
Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

by ScruitHello all,
Working on my first C64 / Breadbin / 250407. Purchased as non-working. Getting black screen.
More detail below, but for those that want to get right to the question.... Here are a few waveforms comparing the Pin15 output on the VIC chip (luma/sync) to the pin 4 on the AV socket (composite signal).

My question is: Is the composite waveform range of 0.1v-1v too low for a c64?
