Top center under the metal shield is the tcon. There will be a fuse somewhere close to the connector, check it for continuity (with power off).

Do you have 12V both sides of fuse?

Can you remove the shield from the T-con and get us a picture of the board.

With the board installed in the set, try testing: VDD, VCC, VGH and VGL.

                Expecting:
                VCC - 3.3V or 5V approx
                VDD - 15V approx
                VGH - from 20V to 33V approx
                VGL - from -4V to -10V approx

For no reading, do you mean 0.00 or a single "1".
You may have to use next voltage range up e.g. 200VDC.
Can you try those measurements with the LCD panel ribbons disconnected?

If the voltages rise when the panel is out, it might be a bad panel; if not, it looks like a bad T-con board. I'll have a look in my pile, but I think I might have a T-con for this.

Good, I would think the T-con is bad then. I will search my piles. I do recall removing it from a smashed 32" Vestel (CCFL-backlit Alba model, 720p LG panel) but where it got put is another question.

Unfortunately, the board I have only has one ribbon connector. It is an LC320WXE-SCA1 if you need it for another project though, I will stick it in the post.

Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
                                          The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

                                          Hi there,
I am looking for help with my broken 980ti. Had a bad DrMos (the bottom one) and replaced it, card worked for a short moment, but I got another shortes DrMos (second one) and replaced that one aswell.
Now I don't measure any shorts, I have 12v, PEX, 5v, 3.3v all working fine (probing points on card), but I can't get any voltage at FBVDDQ or NVVDD probing points.

Where could I check to find the fault?
You think my first DrMos could be bad, because I read that the first one will activate core?

                                          Hello All,

This is a weird one. This M1 Macbook Pro was brought in for liquid damage. Customer was getting video only on external monitor. Most liquid damage was located around the backlight circuitry, namely the backlight capacitor bank. It was not too severe. Ultrasonic cleaned and about 3 corroded capacitors replaced. FP800 backlight fuse was also blown. Nothing down the line from the fuse is shorted. May have blown this fuse from overload during liquid being present.

Also had to repair area of QD530 which is PBUS VOLTAGE SENSE. Repaired traces to RD531 and RD532...

Hi I wonder if anyone might be able to steer me in the right direction. I have this Samsung UE46ES8000 TV and it went bang during use. The main fuse on the PSU board is open. I've checked every diode/mosfet/transistor I can see and nothing appears to be short to cause the fuse to go. The DC output of the bridge rectifier is not short either. I've seen online that some of these models are known for having their PFC mosfet or other mosfets shorting and blowing the fuse but i'm not seeing that here. If anyone aware of these models having any issues to cause this? I'm reluctant to just replace the...

Help replacing fuse on my Mimaki CJV300-160 vinyl printer

                                          Hi guys,

I'm inexperienced with electronics repairs, I've done a little bit of soldering caps and whatnot, but i have a blown fuse on this mimaki printer I got which I have bought a replacement for.

How do I remove this type of fuse (see picture)...it kinda looks like it would pull out of that bracket but it didn't come at first pull and I didn't want to brute force it incase it's soldered on there like most of the rest of the components.

Anybody know how to remove this type of fuse?

(The fuse is toward the bottom of the image labeled F2)...
