LG Plasma TV Model 50pg20 prower issue

Hello everyone!!! First time posting something like this in order to troubleshoot a problem i'm having so hopefully it works out

    Ok so here's my issue.
I have a LG Plasma TV Model 50PG20. I don't use it very often but one day I went to turn it one and it didn't work.

the first symptoms of a problem were:
    - when powered on I heard a click and then a second click a couple seconds later.
    - The red standby light was on and when powered on it turned blue and blinked 3 times then went solid. After a few second it turned red again.
    - No light of picture or anything from the screen it self.

So after that I took the backing off and noticed on the Power supply board there were 5 bulging caps. No problem I replaced those without any issues and while I was at it I replaced all 4 fuses that are there too. one on each sus board and 2 soldered ones on the power board. But unfortunately there was no change. No because I don't really have any tools other than a screwdriver and a soldering iron I could not check any power or anything with a multimeter but I did disconnect the Y and Z sus boards individually and tried to power it up. That had no effect either.
When Everything is connected and powered on none of the boards heatsinks were warm to the touch either. not even the power supply board.

Sorry for the long post but I've tried many possible solutions that are in my realm of expertise which is very basic lol.

    Any help is appreciated

You need to get your hands on a multimeter, even a cheap one, and someone will walk you through taking some voltage measurements. From what you're saying saying sounds like the power supply but can't be sure just yet.

This tv has a high fail rate on the power supply.
The repair kit is very accurate. Check transistors if any are shorted the kit will usually fix the supply.

        Fuses 2 F101, 801
        Transistors 4 Q601, 602, 801, 802
        Capacitors 4 C202, 203, 204, 207, 218, 917
        Integrated Circuits 3 U101, 701, 801

If you've never soldered before it's a pretty difficult repair.

great, I'll go pick up a multimeter soon and it seems like those repair kits are pretty cheap so even if it doesn't work I'll be able to improve upon my skills.

Soldering I can do. Changed out the 5 bad caps that were in there already

Thanks guys I'll update the post once i pick up a multimeter

I had this same tv, my problem was the upper buffer board. I also have the working power supply. When you get your MM. make sure you check you buffer boards, I ended up tearing the ribbon cable, set shot at that point.
