    Sharp LC-40LE700M Power LED (green) ON but No image & No backlight

    Hey guys,

    Hope i can get some advice here.

    TV model : Sharp LC-40LE700M
    Symptom : Power LED (green) ON but No image & No backlight. Also no sound

    Attached are the photos but sorry no sunlight at the moment.

    I measured the output on the power board

    Top left connector (12 pins)
    UR13V - 13V
    UR13V - 13V
    UR13V - 13V
    UR13V - 13V
    GND
    GND
    GND
    GND
    ACDET - 3.3 V
    PSON - 3 V
    BU5Y - 5 V
    PNL_POW - 0 V

    Middle Left connector (4 pins)
    PNL12V - 0 V
    PNL12V - 0 V
    GND
    GND

    Top Right connector (9 pins)
    VSYNC - 0.5V
    HSYNC - 0.5V
    GND
    I2C_SDA - 0.7V
    I2C_SCL - 0.7V
    ERROR - 0.38V
    OFL - 0.6 V
    STB - 0.6 V
    GND

    Question is whether the power board is faulty (if yes, which area on the board should i look at) or is the main board not functioning?

      PNL12V - 0 V should be 12V, goes to lcd controller
      I assume is switched by signal from main board.
      How about the Heartbeat indicator? Is it flashing?
      Steady green Led, no picture, no sound, the only I find was this

      Power on -> Power LED (green) (-> bad soldering at BGA/R3506/R3507/R3508/RAM-IC3502.)

        I have exactly the same symptoms on a LC-39LE440U 18 months old. Removed the back cover last night to see if there was any visual damage (capacitors, burnt spots) but found nothing.

        My TV will sometimes turn on with no problem. Great picture and sound, everything works. If I turn it off, 100% of the time it will not turn back on. I have to unplug the tv from the wall, wait a random amount of time and sometimes when I plug it back in it will work.

        Haven't tested any voltage yet. I suspect the LED driver board, but dont know how to test it.

        Any ideas or test procedures I should try?

          LED driver board did not help. Next suspect is Main board.
