This weekend I bought a couple of broke Panasonic's. The TC-P50S30 had the 7 blinking light problem which I have already troubleshot and determined that I have a bad sc board. (I isolated the SD and SU and the SC still showed bad) I also bought a TC-P55ST30 with a cracked display. The guy said it broke on the way home from BB and had been in his garage ever since. Still had all the plastic on it! Anyway took the back panel off and the SC board numbers are TNPA5351 2SC and the 50 has a TNPA5351 1SC. The only difference seems to be additional heat sinks probably to drive the bigger screen. Do you think it would hurt the display on the 50 to try this board. I was actually thinking of using the buffers as well. The buffers look almost identical again with the exception of additional heat sinks. The TV's are both built in mid 2011 with the 55 being 2 months newer. I have seen SC boards on ebay for the 50 that have the 2SC suffix so I'm thinking it will work.

I looked at shop jimmy. I don't see anywhere, that you can swap them...
Did see they have a repair kit however:

Re: Panasonic TC-P50s30 sc board question
So 50S30 is TNPA5351AM, 55ST30 is TNPA5351 (no suffix). probably will work I think someone has tried that and the buffers the only difference is likely the heatsinks if they are the same board number.
I'll send you a PM where you can get a SC that is correct though for a rediculously cheap price ,cheaper than the parts to fix it.
They are matched to the panel so there is a difference with capacitors and inductors.
You could sell the other model boards and get good money for those boards.Comment

Re: Panasonic TC-P50s30 sc board question
Hi guys,
Long time reader and only posted once before. I'm in the same boat, I just picked up TC-P50s30 and I trouble shot it to find a faulty SC board. I'm attacking a TC-p50UT50 SS TNPA5623 repair tonight for the first time at a component level. Not gonna lie I'm a little nervous about it but I've been practicing removal on other boards and I think I can do it.. Anyway, the reason I'm posting is TW2005 I see the you said you have a good source for the TNPA5351 board is that correct? I was wondering if you could hook me up as I'm not sure about replacing all of the fets on that one just yet lol.. Thanks guys, I always look to you for very insightful info. Yourself and tom66..Comment

Repair may be the only option and and easy one. The 2 transistors are normally mounted, the 8 pin driver IC is only 8 pin.
If you don't want to do it then try these guys, price is good

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic... -
by sam_sam_samI did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

by canadaboy25I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.
The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.
I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was... -
by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
