    Celcus lc32s913hd

    Hi Guys,

My sisters TV died! we had thunder storms last week and since then if you switch it on it will run OK for around 15-20mins and then turn off and does not even show the red stand by light, if you leave it off for a while it will come back on and work for 15-20mins and switch off.

Check the Vestel 17PW25-4 for bulging caps and O/C diodes and all seems well, any thought please?

Its a Vestel 15 minutes is really good !!!
Just type 17PW25-4 into the search above and check out some threads

Oh - when its on try heating the boards with a hair dryer see if it goes off quicker.

Then try a cooling fan see if it stays on longer.

Possible indication of bad solder joints

if it was caused by lightning it's probably a fet or chip damaged by static.

        Hi,

When you say damaged FET or chip, are you referring to the PSU? or the A board?
