Vizio M550NV - Flashing Logo Stuck at Startup Screen

Okay folks I know there have been a few on this t.v before and believe me I have read them. I have already inspected caps and there do not seem to be any bulging at all. Here is what happens. I plug the television in the logo does the white / orange flash for an extended period of time. Then I am able to power the tv on and I get the Vizio startup screen (Non-responsive) to anything and then it powers itself down and backon again in an endless loop unless I unplug. Of course here are the pictures.

Were there no tests mentioned in the other threads that you could do.
Vizio unresponsive is likely to be voltage regulators and/or eeprom?
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

I did do plenty of testes from reading the other threads and I am leaning toward the eeprom. However I like to touch bases because you know maybe we become too focused on a the problem and we don't see the solution.

Plus I have to ask which location for the EEPROM on this board?

Thank you and through some testing I have come back to the power supply with a few issues. I think there may be more than one failure on this television possible voltage regulators so until I get the time to chase all of that down. I guess I am in a holding pattern.

I'm having the same issue. I was doing some electrical work, kept turning breaker on and off with tv plugged into the wall. Didn't even think about the TV. Now, the TV, when the power button is pressed, the V logo comes up on screen at startup during this time, the logo at bottom off the screen flashes white then orange and so forth for about a minute. The TV then shuts down, reboots and loads the V logo comes up again. Then, a minute later, shuts down, flashes orange and white and keeps on repeating itself. Help please????

replace the main board, EEPROM is most like the problem but its a smart TV. So the it need to be reprogram by Vizio.

I ended up replacing the power supply but it did not resolve the issue. No change in the problem now I wonder did I purchase an equally defective power supply or could it in fact be the mainboard. This has been the most stubborn tv to day as just about everything checks fine on the thing. grrr.

From what you described in post 1, it does sound like main board problem.

I replaced the mainboard and yes that fixed the problem. I did however swap old power supply back in and the tv stopped working so apparently something was wrong with both boards. Power Surge perhaps?

Depend, does it have power at all? like +5volts? In most cases a power surge take out the fuse and other components

Re: Vizio M550NV - Flashing Logo Stuck at Startup Screen

I came across a Vizio M550NV that was stuck on the "Vizio logo" when powering on. I remove the metal shield to access the flash memory chip. I wanted to re-solder the flash memory chips to see of any changes, but there was none.

I purchase a working replacement main board for the M550NV. So I removed the flash memory chip from the working board and place it on the non working main board to confirm the problem and the memory chip was the problem and the TV power up fine.

So I copy the working flash memory with my programmer and copy to new memory chip.

The copy flash memory chip works on the fail board, no more stuck on logo. All apps are working and the TV is functioning great !!!

I mostly likely will sale this nand flash memory chip fix to other on my website, and also offer those who can't solder to send their main-board in for this fix.

I just accomplish this and I like to make sure there isn't any bug or future failure, I doing to burn in test for couple of days for insurance.

I have a similar problem with my Vizio M550NV.

TV went out but backlight is still on. No Vizio logo at startup though. Replaced T-Con board. No luck. Now I think it is the main board that is the issue.

Any recommendations on what to fix/replace? Don't really want to plug another $150-$200 on this.

I too have now replaced the TCON board and the main board. I just purchased the power supply board- if this doesn't work then I'm SOL.

Ok so here's the story. I was watching tv one day when all of a sudden I heard a pop from the back of the tv set and rushed to unplug the set. By this time the tv already had smoke coming out the back. It was not storming or inclement weather that day to cause a power surge to the best of my abilities. When I opened the tv up, I found that the three capacitors on the psu (highlighted in red) were all bulging and looked they had exploded. I replaced all of them right away and when I went to start up the tv after the "fix" it started just showing the flashing vizio logo as soon as power...

I have read through many threads on the M65-C1 including the following threads. I feel like I must be looking right past the solution to my problem:

Vizio V555-G1 stuck on wallpaper; now stuck on V logo
                                        by x_orange90_x
I just got this tv today and it's getting stuck on the wallpaper. When I first power it on it goes to the V logo, then a black screen for about 15 seconds, then a Chromecast error for just a few seconds, and then finally to a wallpaper. It stays frozen on this wallpaper and does not respond to anything on the remote besides power on/off. Likewise the buttons on the tv do nothing either (besides power). I did the "reset" by holding the volume down and input buttons together for 10 seconds. It showed a message at the top of the screen saying it was Wiping Data and would restart soon. After...

Vizio D32f-E1 Powers on, has backlight, won't boot/no logo, no menu or video

I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

Elitebooks (820, 840 etc. all gens) and those continuously flashing Power LED + flashing CapsLock LED

As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...
