    Sony KDL-37V5810 Firmware corruption.

Hi. I have a Sony KDL-375810 with corrupt firmware. It switches from standby with the green led on but no other activity. I have read in earlier posts that there is a method of restoring the board firmware using the Sony memory stick
but the link to the required files has expired. As there is no picture, using the normal update procedure via USB is not an option.
    Can anyone help?
    Regards.
    Pat.

Hi .Thanks for the reply but as I stated the set has no display so the normal update cannot be performed. The problem is very common on this set and the cure is either a new board or restoring the firmware on the one I have.
      Regards.

i think if there is no display there is a larger fault on the unit and the firmware wont fix it .where did you get the info on the common fault of this tv

            Re: Sony KDL-37V5810 Firmware corruption.

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. I am a qualified TV engineer and I carried out all the tests so I am positive the problem is due to corruption of the data in the flash roms (there are two in ths set)/ Sony issued a service bulletin (the problem was well known)and firmware to enable the board to be recovered and this is what I am looking for.
            Regards.

                Sony KDL-46HX850 Can't upgrade/update firmware
                by dkneyle
Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.

Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me. I can see the LED on the USB chip flash for about...

                Sony Firmware for XBR-70X850B
                by jason123
                Hello

Help is much appreciated. I have a Sony XBR-70X850B with bad main board. I got a mainboard for it, but as you know I have to update the firmware on this TV for the main board to work.

I went to the Sony website, and I can't seem to find the Firmware file. Sony is no longer making this available.

Does any of you have firmware / software files for this TV that I can put on USB for update to make this main board work?

                Much appreciated.

SONY KDL-65w850c need latest firmware 6.827
                by AlexWhat
In 2022 SONY did "Termination of TV Software Update" for this model.
I did find older firmware but it can't be installed over newer one (rolled back)
Yes, got boot loop during android load so if that will not work then EMMC has to be replaced, I think.
