I believe that it is both T-CON and 60HZ/120HZ processing all in one board.

$50 main board is cheap.
I have purchase for $109 for a E422VA.

Had any luck with replacing the PC board? I also have an E470VA that has had the exact same symptoms as Blackrifle's. Just wondering if it worked out.

I have the same problem, I have the main board replaced ($125) and didn't work so I think next step will be power supply... Any updates blackrifle?
