PHILIPS 58PUS7555/12 Backlight Sound ON Only Halv Screen

when i power on the TV is black ,Do I remove the right or the left ribbon I get respectively the right or the left half screen working
Do I disconnect the plug from the power supply, no backlight
Thought the backlight would light up when you remove the plug from the power supply but no
What could be wrong if both halves work separately?

Well, from the photo you can see that the problem is on the left side, on the right it is clearly visible (black color, so black).

Thanks for the reply Lotas I think the pictures I have presented are mistaken taken from a bad point of view I put better pictures for a better assessment.
and as you see TV works as it should but on each half separately
now I wonder where to start looking to figure out the error maybe T-CON board ?

try first to downgrade the firmware with upgrade_loader ... download this and unzip copy upgrade_loader file on root USB formatted FAT32 in MBR Mode., when you get on screen upgrade in progress good sign. when nothings leave the TV do downgrade until the Tv reboot...... at this case you have issue at Panel buffer boards or one gate Transistor inside the screen.

This has nothing to do with software/firmware. This is a panel problem, try to block some datalines with some tape and the problem will be solved. The 58" with a Panda panel is known for this problem.

Thanks Diah is there any special procedure to follow to carry out this firmware downgrade after downloading it? I mean should the TV be on or should you use or not the Remote Control

Thanks William1967 your suggestion is pretty easy to make while waiting for Diah's answer but need to know which side to start with and can i do it directly on the Tcon side or on the panel buffer side and most importantly how much datalines should be covert?

Did you swap LVDS cables to see if you have the same problem?
If NO then the LVDS cable needs to be replaced.
If YES then replace or repair the T-CON Bd.

you have complete image on half screen when you disconnect left and right ribbon cable. this why i suggest to downgrade firmware.

on yours windows PC run CMD as administrator
                      type:
                      diskpart
list disk ( usually yours USB will show disk 1 if you have only one HDD on yours PC)
select disk 1 ( if yours USB look as list disk 1 )
                      clean
                      convert mbr
                      create partition primary
                      active
                      list partition
                      select partition 1
                      format fs=fat32 quick
                      assign
                      exit
                      exit

copy upgrade_loader on the usb root , plug it in usb on the side ... plug the TV in wall.

Well I think this was unusual, what I have seen mostly where taping worked was a flaw on one side, NOT a good picture on each but there it is.

Have you seen this often William 1967, with a good display on both sides?

I have seen that very often.
Sometimes repairable with a little piece of tape but what sometimes appeared was a spot with less red than normal or thin lines running through the image from left to right.
Sometimes clearly visible but sometimes not.
The Panda panels are bad and come in many brands but especially the 58 inch is very bad.
