    samsung ln46c670m1f won't boot

    Hi, i have a samsung ln46c670m1f that won't boot just a solid red led. i have done some visual troubleshooting and all the caps appear to be good and no obvious fried components.

    tested voltages with the main board disconnected the black light would come on and all the voltages check out on the connector but with the main board connected the standby voltages (at CN8 ) seems to drop and cycles on and off at a rate of 1 hz. to me it appears that there is an issue with the mainboard but i am new at troubleshooting a tv so i would like some input before i spend money on it and it be the powersupply .

      Update: i replaced the logic board and it works fine. out of curiosity, i will attempt to do some component level troubleshooting and repair on the board. More than likely the micro-controllers are dead from a lighting strike or something, but you never know till you actually look into it.

          Hi, I rescued a Samsung UN40H5003AF (H = 2014 FHD) from the curb. Symptoms are: standby (red) light comes on, stays on for 8 seconds, flickers off, then comes back on, and the cycle continues.

          SMPS board: checked voltages, all seem normal (A13V = 12.8V, UD = 3.3V, PWM_BLU = 0.77V, PS_OnOff = 5.5V). Remove 10p cable to main board -> backlight comes on. I think this means SMPS board and backlight are good.

          I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

          Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

          I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

          The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

          With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Hi,

          I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

          Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
          Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

          The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
          • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
          • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket
