Vivo LTV40FHD - Strange Color misalignment

    Hi Forum,

I just picked up a Tivo LTV40FHD that was headed for the scrap heap. Has a strange color misalignment issue. I am hoping that someone might be able to offer some suggestions to help me resurrect it.

The unit has a Samsung Panel LTA400HM17 inside.

What I've done so far (fairly minimal):

Reseated all connectors on the main board
Reseated the flat flex cable at the panel end
Reset the TV via the User menu
Reset the TV via the Service Menu (SOURCE, then 2, 5, 8, 0 on the remote for future Googlers)

The fault is present on the splash screen at power-on, on the tuner and the menu per the attached jpgs.

Many thanks for any suggestions/troubleshooting tips.

Look up how to get into service mode using the remote and reset screen setting according to sticker on inside TV on pannel. Some Phillips TV have the same issues

Hi Ltank, Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the delay in replying, work and stuff got in the way.

Here is the current service menu config, I couldn't see anything meaningful in the way of labels on the LCD panel, I gather I am looking for a series of values?:

      --------------------
      0. ADC Adjust
      0. AUTO ADC - Fail
      2. Mode ADC - RGB
      3. R-GAIN - 4096
      4. G-GAIN - 4096
      5. B-GAIN - 4096
      7. R-OFFSET - 0
      8. G-OFFSET - 0
      9. B-OFFSET - 0
      10. RESET
Unable to see any changes adjusting the settings above.

      1. EMC Setting
      0. MIU Enable - 1
      1. MIU Span - 35
      2. MIU Step - 10
      4. LVDS Enable - 1
      5. LVDS Span - 35.0KHz
      6. LVDS Step - 2.00%
      2. General Setting
      3. Debug
      4. SW Information
      5. Init TV
      6. Init FAC Channel
      7. Burn Mode
      8. Software Update USB
      9. Checksum
      --------------------

The red part of the image stays still, occasionally the other offset cyan-ish image occasionally jumps up and down, other times it stays still.

Please let me know if the settings under the other menus are of interest.

      Thanks, Ken
