Hi guys, im back seeking some expertise. I found someone on craigslist with two e650i tvs, one with a broken screen, and one with 3 horizontal lines across the screen (used as a store demo). He wanted to sell them both, but i offered to try to fix one and he agreed, although i am worried that the one with horizontal lines might be tab bonding problems (it is a store demo so it has had its fair share of little kids poke at the screen). Do 3 horizontal, always present and static lines sound like a tab bond problem? If its not a tab bond, i can swap over the main board and tcon from the one with a broken screen and earn some cash. It is about an hour drive and i dont want to waste the gas only to find out it was a faulty panel. What do you guys think? should i take this job? Thanks!!

Re: Tab bonding, tcon, or other? on vizio e650i
3 horizontal lines are almost certainly panel, they could be tab bond or a failed gate driver (built into panel.) The chance of a lasting successful repair is low to be honest. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
For service manual, schematic, boardview (board view), datasheet, cad - use our search.
