been trying to sort out this Toshiba set for a neighbour
He said that he had picture but no sound, so I said I would look
at it for him, however that's not the fault I get !
when plugged in you get the normal relay click and red light on
pressing the on switch the red light stays on and green light on for about 5 seconds and then goes off, relay clicks when switched on and then clicks again when green light goes out.
I did however look at the inverter due to what he said and one of the transformers is open circuit, but set now seems to have a problem starting up.
Before he gave it to me to look at he changed the main PSU
If I had known before hand he had taken it apart I would not have bothered with it, as he may have damaged it further.
or is this what the set will do if inverter faulty ? other sets Ive looked at they start up with dark pic if inverter fault
any advice or pointers ? prob not worth spending too much time on it
