      i think the issue at main unit transmitter didn't send sync feed back to RC so display didn't show any sign.. and it go to sleep look like it turned on with out any main unit closed to it

      any other RC under hand?

        I would still expect some output on the display. The RC behaves erratic, thus I asked about a known working firmware dump for testing.

        I don't have another original remote, but with my harmony elite I can control the main unit without a problem.

          yours harmony elite with out screen to sync feed back !! so how you put this in compare.... or i am wrong ?

            Yes, harmony remote doesn't have a feedback.

            I monitored today the activity on the spi interface between the transceiver and the mcu. Sometimes you can see some activity after a key press, sometimes not.
            Could not find a system behind it.
            I'll try to find another remote for testing.

              Well, I've found another remote, which worked without any issue. So no problem on the receiver side.

              I then reprogrammed the nvram of the broken one with the dump from the new one - now my friend has two functional remotes. The first thought is often the right one
