Panasonic "A" board replacement

Hey finally getting around to ordering me an "A" board for my tcp50g20. WOW not cheap! My board is a tnph0834 1a. I am finding lots of boards from different model numbers, say for example a TCP54G25. Mostly refurbished boards, no new ones. Will these work as long as the part number matches?

No, you must use the 50", non-3D board. You should be able to use V20 or S20 for example, but not VT20 or GT25, or 54" board.
You also need to use the board with the right inputs - some have 2 HDMI, 3 HDMI, 4 HDMI, built in satellite, or VGA port, etc. That's important.

You'd get away with the50g25, IC8502 has different firmware between the 2 but same panel and boards otherwise so probably some extra feature I am guessing.

The GT25 happens to be just a STD FHD but the board is a different number and wider so would not fit in your cradle. That's the model I used as a donor for my SC boards .

Considering what a SC board goes for now, $120 for a main is probably fair game.

I am finding lots tnph0834 AC and AE boards. Supposed to be for the G20. Any idea on these, or do i need to stick with the 1A board I have?

I put that link there for a reason, Rev AE is 50G20, AC = G25 50" forget about the 1A has nothing really to do with the version you need,.

hey everyone. me again. Tv worked fine for about four months, now I'm getting a 10 blink code. Wondering if I may have gotten a "weak board", or maybe I have a bad P board. Either way, I'm trying to decide weather to junk it or order a new board. Opinions?

Hmm, I have a bad feeling it just blew a SC board. They can trigger SOS4 and 10 blink. Could check SC2 for short but might not be since you have 10 blink.

test q661 and see if shorted as that one seems to fail short .

You could disconnect sc2,ss11, p35 and the 3 white ribbons from the A board.

Turn tv on and see if it stays on, no picture. If so that would pass the PSU and A, SC would be prime suspect then I feel. If still 10 blink, probably A board.

Don't reconnect those power leads after shutdown, leave for 5mins so you do not spike the boards especially P35

I am getting about 2M ohms across sc2. with the cables below disconnected, I get a solid power light for about 2 minutes, then I get 4 blinks. P board or more?

Hmm, I have a bad feeling it just blew a SC board. They can trigger SOS4 and 10 blink. Could check SC2 for short but might not be since you have 10 blink.

No, I have a vague recollection that happens , you're not meant to run it that long and I think I made that mistake too when I first started working on mine.

Use the manual to locate the P5V and P15v lines that enter sc20 in the schematic and measure the resistance to a gnd point on the sc. Disconnect SC20 or you'll be measuring the A board side as well.

Did you check q661 as I sugested?
