Can you confirm if my assumption that you are using an ammeter in series with the power board outputs is correct?

I'm gonna step back on this one, multiple advise inputs can be very confusing to the readers side, tom66 is by far superior in knowledge and experience over me so I would take his word over mine !!
I will be sitting back and lurk here to learn the outcome of this TV, very interesting !!

Tomm66 : yes, it is what I have done. But I wonder if it was the good procedure, may be I have to put "dummy" loads like car light bulbs to really knows what happend?
Martino: I really appreciate any help and as you may notice, I'm allready a bit confused

In fact I should have read all posts about this kind of failure before posting. I learn a lot these last days and I'm happy about that.

Why should I open a new thread? I have the same Samsung TV with the same problems as you? Just searching for solutions...

                      Here a the results:

With backlight on (supply board not plugged to main board), I think the 24V is OK
When I put a 21W 12V lightbulb on the 13V output, the 12.3V fall to 11.6V. is it OK ?
About the 5 V, I have no load to test it, how may I do this?

I have put also a 21W 12V as dummy load for the 5V, the Amp is about 1A and the 5.26V fall to 4.86V

With the 2 loads, one on 13V, the other on 5V, same results, the supply board seems to be OK.

As soon is have the main board plugged to the supply board and I 'turn on', the 12V and 5V go down and up and down every 3 or 4 seconds.

If someone has an idea...I will be very happy!

Have you tried Two 12V lamps in series--and tried the 24V output from the PSU?

The 5V and 12V from PSU sound to be OK to me....

                            Thanks for the reply.
As the backlight light on, I think the 24V is OK.

It seems that my problem is on the main board, but wich methodology to find a failure on a such board?

Alastair's question is relevant, many backlights have a wide operating range - a low 24V might not affect them as much as the main board is affected by 13V or 5V being low.

I have at home 2 power supplies a 13.2V and a 5V, if I use it to supply the main board, could it works?
I will keep the PSU only for the 24V.

So it is works like this it would means that the PSU is not working properly.

Yes that would be fine, but you must make sure the 13V turns on when the main board wants it. it might not work if it turns on beforehand.

I'll dredge up this old thread as it was the reason I found this forum.
I'm wanting to repair multiple Samsung LA32C400 TVs. (Shares the same PSU as LE32C450)
Most have the same fault as described by the OP.
I have not tested the actual psu boards but doning one from a fully working set does do the trick.
PSU board is again the BN440033A version (not B).

                                          Soooooooo,
Q1) Is it safe to assume that the same brown poly cap as shown by martino is the one to attack on each of these faulty sets?

Q2) Another set comes on fine but once warmed for a minute or so has horizontal "interference" lines along the top third of the screen. What should I be looking at to fault find this?

                                          Many thanks.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?

I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

                                            Samsung Power Supply Board BN44-00874F

                                            Hey everyone,

This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

                                            Anybody...
