Hi everyone I have this tv that I saved from the land fill . I have read on many threads that the gamma chip will cause this kind of picture, and I checked service menu for main board settings check OK . I have changed the main board as it had a broken antenna input on it. Then I changed the T-CON with one from e-bay. I still have a bad picture. I ordered some gamma chips AS15-s and changed it being careful not to pull off the pads. Now I have the same picture. I have the gamma volts and the power board volts plus pictures. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Samsung LN46A530P1 solarized picture
Which set of voltages is your current & which is your new? First pic is definitely bad, second also looks bad, but not quite as bad. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung LN46A530P1 solarized picture
One other trick: I haven't yet verified it but I think it will work. If you check the REF voltages below the gamma IC, they should (within a few percent) match the VGAMA points. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung LN46A530P1 solarized picture
It's hard to be sure, then, they're a close match.
Tomorrow, I'm getting a 37" Sony with a bad AS15 IC, and I will go about comparing REF to VGAMA.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung LN46A530P1 solarized picture
I did a 42" Sony with a bad AS15 IC, and had no problems .The picture came right back. So what do you think about my voltages should I be getting a normal picture ?Comment

Re: Samsung LN46A530P1 solarized picture
The voltages look OK, it is possible they are bad but it is close. I do not think the picture would look that bad, if that were the case. So, time to look elsewhere...Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung LN46A530P1 solarized picture
I already re soldered the LVDS connections. I have tried all the inputs. No cold solder joints
That is the third IC I put on that board. Could it be I got bad ICs from China? Maybe the cable? Where would you start testing tom ? I don't want to part this tv out not knowing if any boards are bad, that just wouldn't be right.Comment

Re: Samsung LN46A530P1 solarized picture
It looks the same. I tried changing the settings in the service menu and only gets worse. Maybe I should take the IC off and try a different one. I soldered it on at 600 deg. F , and used 60/40 solder. Should I try a different setting on my station ? I don't want to mess up the pads they are so small and look like they will lift off very easy.Comment

by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... -
by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by DodgethisHello all,
This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...5 Photos - Loading...
