Reboot the TV and tell me what it does from the moment it powers up, does that flash, then goes off. I suspect it will hit 200V or so then drop down. If that is the case we need to look at the other boards for the fault as the control board appears to be shutting the VS-ON off because it detects a problem.Please do not PM me with questions! ok multimeter set to 250v dc as soon as i plugged it in it shot striaght up to 200v then started jumping down in 10-12v every half second then when it got down to 12v it gradually went down 1v every 2-3 seconds. this happened with both VSComment

As discussed with tw2005, kinda. But not quite. But sort of. I still call it a Y-main even if drives most of the X-main.

OK test points marked VSCAN and VE. Check the voltage you get on those, red probe on point, black on chassis, and as it turns on, flashes, and then goes dark, note any changes. ok tom as instructed, VS went striaght upto 201v then started slowly going back down to 010v, VE rose slowly to 81v then slowly rose back down to 10v alsoComment

OK Tom finally managed to find VSSCAN lol plugged in went to -183 stayed like that for a 2 seconds then started rising slowly towards -000, that was with multimeter set to 250vdc.

You will need to check the buffer boards for shorts.

First - check the buffers.

I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.
In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.- Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again. - Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.

Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve. - Problem: TV shuts down

Fixed a 9 year old UN55JU650 by replacing backlight. Original backlight LED was still working after 27k! hours but terrible picture of course. Few LEDs were out, 5-6 lens fell off (bright white spots) and another few popped off with slightest force. Surviving LEDs were all slightly blue so picture has a blue tint.

Hello, everyone!
A co-worker gave me a 55-inch Samsung TV model UN55MU6103F so I can try to fix the following problem... As soon as I plug it in to the wall, the TV turns on, and the display shows a few stripes all over the screen. I took off the back cover and disconnected both ribbon cables that go to the display (one at a time) so by doing that I can narrow down the bad section of the problem, but in both cases the display turns black. I know there are some voltages that I have to check (VGH, VGL, etc.) but don't know what reading each has to show. If anyone could guide me on this,... -

At power on (plug in), power light on, relays click, repeat (sometimes)
After disconnecting Y-Main from SMPS power stays on and boot up jingle is heard from speakers
Removed Y-Main for inspection and testing
