hi guys just picked one of these sets up now its been worked on before as in the psu a 17pw26.4 has 3 parts removed the seller comfirmed this basically its the f8oo 3.15 amp cylindrical fuse and th1 and th2 thermistors i gather is there a scheme so i can locate the missing items also is there anything else on these psus that cause these 3 parts to blow cheers guys.

Pretty typical is Q813/Q814 to blow.

If blown also replace: R860, R861, R864, R865, D891, D892, D875 -or- D894 (depending on which is present) and IC830.

Q803 can also be bad, so check that part.

spot on tom q814 mdf9n50 q813 mdf9n50 the fuse 3.15 clindrical plus the 2 thermistors ntc 10 0911 thats all i can read on these as blown ic830 fan 7711 can you help me on cpc site tom to find correct parts i thind it hard the best of times cheers vince.
all the resistor are as per there markings and test ok surface mount diodes not fitted.

As Vestel love to swap around the parts they use without changing the part # of the board please confirm your set uses the same as on the schematic, especially for the little resistors.

so far the q814 q813 both are MDF9N50 IC 830 FAN 7711 R860 SAYS 330 ON IT TESTS OK R864 SAYS 103 TESTS OK R861 SAYS 330 TEST OK R865 SAYS 103 TESTS OK not sure how to test fan 7711 may be its ok? the part numbers from the blown thermistors i took of the faulty ones also of the blown transistors also need the fuse as well

I would always replace all the components indicated, you cannot be sure if they are OK or not.

You wil have to buy FAN7711 from eBay make sure to get DIP-8 case.

Use a lamp tester on it so you don't blow new parts.

all ordered cheers again tom what wattage bulb in my tester do i need its a 32 in set? so bulb should glow dim if alls ok ive never bothered to use one before this time i will haha.

I would use a 100W bulb, incandescent type. You don't expect it to power on. On a 26" I just had a flickering backlight and I could see brief pictures but even that is rare.

cool thanks hopefully its going to be a easy fix paid £10.00 for it of facebook selling site with remote (just noticed says toshiba on it) and stand no marks so hope i can save it haha.

well you want a laugh guys i took this mans word on facebook regarding this tv as he had said he had taken the psu out and found the three bad parts. well on arrival i got handed the so called faulty tv psu he pointed at the set and then kept going on about the faulty parts anway i took no notice i picked the psu remote and power lead up and he offerd to carry the tv to the car i thaught fine haha. well the moral to the story was the psu doesnt even belong to this set this set still has the psu and all boards inside and the screen is cracked haha WELL I WONT FALL FOR THAT NEXT TIME. ive just stripped it for parts no loss i guess only £10.00.

im still going to repair the psu as you have helped me source the parts also it will help me practice my soldering skills reagrding suface mount parts can i force this psu on tom once repaired to test it? 17pw26.4

the parts have come for the 17pw26.4 psu and i have fitted them and put a link tempory across the switch plug can anyone advise which pins i need to link on the psu connector socket so i can see if this psu is now working and yes i will use a bulb tester to save my new parts.
