Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
also what place do u want me to check it at? I checked all voltages on them and there correct? So I don't know what to do now. Could the main logic control be bad? By unplugging all the buffers and scan drive y sus, zsus shouldn't I have gotten a picture somewhere?Comment

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
If the main board (with HDMI etc on it) was bad you would have got some test patterns on the screen with that 3-4 jumper.
Yes you could have a bad logic board (or "main logic" if you like) but as you have a flashing light (meaning its processor is running and trying to control the plasma panel), it's unlikely, so for now, I'm suggesting checking elsewhere and that is why I want you to find Vscan or Vsc test point and check it. It will be on there somewhere!
If Vscan/Vsc is missing it points towards a bad Y-buffer or Y-main board.
Don't shot-gun replace stuff UNTIL you've found the problem, or you'll be hundreds of dollars in and it still won't work.Last edited by tom66; 04-14-2014, 03:15 PM.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

I have a feeling Vscan might be indicated by that arrow... but that could also be the DIP flow direction, so.... not sure. Nice of Samsung to make it so very clear as mud. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
and on the connector am I putting my negative probe on lead 3 and positive on lead 11?Comment

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
the red capacitor, not the coil.
red lead on red, black lead on black. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: help with samsung pn58b550 plasma
I haven't made my mind up yet because I don't have all the requested information...
Negative reading for the caps is fine, depends on which way you put the probes & which way I've indicated it... 110V does indicate that part of Y-main is fully functional. If you listen carefully you might be able to hear a slight buzz from the board. This is OK.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by Asraf AtbHi everyone,
Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.
Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.
I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....1 Photo -
by bcstedtJust starting to crack into this one and wanted to get the ball rolling.
At power on (plug in), power light on, relays click, repeat (sometimes)
After disconnecting Y-Main from SMPS power stays on and boot up jingle is heard from speakers
Removed Y-Main for inspection and testing

by JSin21Hoping someone here could possibly help. I have a few questions in regards to compatibility with main boards. But I'll give a quick short run down on what's going on first;
I have Samsung Smart TV UA65MU6100WXXY version DA01
Now years ago it started intermittently playing up after a lighting strike. Lighting hit the block of units i was living in at the time. Ever since that night the TV started having a mind of its own, It would randomly turn itself off or on, and all inputs stopped responding like HDMI, aerial, but USB still worked. Anyway, over the next few months...4 Photos -
by BiruslapioHello, the problem with this TV is it has all the Y and X voltages, but does not produce any image.
It had a TON of cracked solder joints on these boards, fixed all that I could find, but in the last test I forgot to plug in the Y-SUS to control board flat cable, it was left dangling and possibly some pins shorted to the panel metal ground, the X-Main buzzed quietly then blew up in 3 seconds after powering up, annoying.
Two RJH30E2 shorted, they are 360V 35A 1.7VCE IGBTs, the problem is I don't have any 360V IGBTs, only 300V or 600V, would two RJP3065 fit in? It's... - Loading...
