    Samsung LE40R73BD

    Hi All
Has anyone come across a burning Inverter output supply, on LCD set PS.
I do not know if this is the cause, or result of something else going on in the set I have found that one of the two 27J-6KV caps burnt out.

The PS is ref BN44-00134A, I'm not sure if it's Inverters themselves or not,
and can anyone tell me what the resistance, on the output transformer windings are to eliminate that as a cause.

    Thanks

They are high voltage lamp ballast caps, they do go bad due to high voltage breakdown.
27pf 6000V. You can inspect the high voltage wires that go to the lamp assembly, inside the panel to see if it has any arc over.

      Hi
Thanks for the info, I have had a look and cannot see any
evidence of arcing, so I will get a new cap and see what happens.
