Yes, I think this was one of the first video I saw when I got my problem
But I'm not sure of which part you are referencing as insteresting, he just show how to replace a T-Con no ?

It is that when he disconnects the T-CON, the TV will stay on instead of going into shutdown with error code indicating the T-CON had failed due to no connection to the T-CON.

So if I follow your logic, this would mean that the problem does not come from the T-CON in my case (since the problem is the same without the T-Con connected)

I guess this mean that I can try to purchase a main board then ?

Well, I am still trying to understand this SONY error codes and how it behaves, so far I am confused because if you disconnect the T-CON, then I expect code 12 or 14 to come up and shut the TV down. I need to get a hold of this similar chassis to really do more in depth study, it does not help right now since we do not have the service or training manual for this model.

Quick question, I'm willing to try to purchase the mainboard (since it's getting complicated to move forward :s)
Is the firmware important or not ?
I've read some people specifying the reference number AND the firmware version.
So I'm wondering if this can have any impacts

The board should match your original board, once the TV works, then you can update the firmware if it is needed. You cannot check the firmware version until you get the TV running first so you can see it on the user menu.

Hi there!
Quick update, I just got back from vacation and found the T-Con I oder in front of my house (has been there for almost 2 weeks!!!! Never buy anything deliver by GLS ...)

And that was it! It's working now
I was about to buy the main board, but the person to who I was about to buy it, told me that he encounter multiple time a double error code, and it was always the second one that was accurate.
So in my case it is 14 blink => T-Con ...
And that was it

I have the same problem with my 52V5100. I turn it on and nothing happens, the green light is on for about 15 seconds with a slight glow on the tv then it shuts off. I have unplugged everything on the tv and tried again but same thing happens. What can I do, should I follow the same directions for this other model?
