    LG 50PG70 Green Dots

I have this LG I'm looking at for a friend. He claims it doesn't turn on half the time. Well it was caked with smoke. I soaked the boards in cleaner and the tv always works now. But I notice when I'm right up close, I see green dots. Now in the past I have adjusted the various pots to make it go away. But I have adjusted all the pots and the green dots either get worse or just minimal, basically barely seen unless up close. I checked all my voltages. Vy, Vsc, Vzb, Vs, and Va. They are exactly what the panel tells me they should be. Is the Ysus in this board starting to fail?

Have you tried dropping the brightness adjust in the user menu? It can sometimes cause this effect. A picture would help too.r

Thanks for the quick reply Tom. I haven't tried that yet. I'll take a pic but I have a feeling you won't see the dots in the pic. Its so minimal. I don't think anyone would notice it but when you are a few inches from the tv you see them.

That's how most plasmas work. It's called dithering. Helps improve low light levels using human persistence-of-vision. If you can't see it from viewing distance, chances are it's intentional.
