Samsung LCD led un55d6000 won't turn on

Hi everyone! My samsung tv died on me last week. It tries to turn itself back on (you can hear the clicking and the led would flash for a second each time it clicks). I checked all the capacitors with my multimeter and they were all fine.

For the first few days, all I had to do was unplug the cable between the mainboard and PS board, and the cable between the ps and back panel, and the tv would magically turn on. But it would eventually die again. And now that method doesn't even work.

The strange thing is the led would flash even if the cables are disconnected from the PS. Please help me diagnose the problem with my tv. Thanks in advance!!

Not at home at the moment, will upload as soon as I get back. May I ask where the inverters are located? Sorry I'm still a newbie

Since the TV is the LED backlights, so it will not have the typical Inverter board which produces high voltage (>1000V) to run the CCFL. There will be LED driver circuits on the power supply board. We cannot tell much until we see good clear pictures of the back of the TV.

                  Your initial explanation is confusing...

If you unplug the cable from the main board to the power supply and plug the power cable to mains do the backlights come on and STAY on ?

Sorry about the confusion, if by stay on you mean continues flashing on and off at 1 sec intervals that matches the sounds of clicking, then yes

It sounds like the PS_ON signal is going HI and LO. Picture of the connector is not clear enough for me to tell which pin is the PS_ON pin. Also check the DC voltage on the main filter caps (450VDC) two legs to see if it is also going up and down.
What is the P/N of that power supply board, BNXX-XXXXX?

This is a LED LCD TV. From what I have seen when the LED goes bad it cause this type of problem there are two strips of LED in series, some versions a serial/parallel combination. You will find the A side 5vdc good and the B side 5vdc will cycle on/off.
Jumpering the SMPS on it will contiue to cycle because the PS does not sense the correct load. The LEDS strips will not have a part number because it is considered as part of the Panel. If you look at the voltge out and max amps we can try to figure out the proper resistace and wattage to test the PS. What is the ratings? 330vdc and 280ma
perhaps? if the the current is figured for 220ma should work. I tried repairing the panel on one LED set. I had never taken a panel apart before. Real pain. Could not find replacement LED strips. Tried repairing the shorted LEDs.I had a lot fthem. The replacemet LEDs I had were not exactly correct either. There were no numbers on the LEds themselves. The strips are not easy to work on. My first time went badly. Dont know if I would try it again. Others may be more helpful. I hope so.

That sounds like such a tough job! I guess I'll be mentally prepared to break this tv and just use it as a learning experience... so would i have to take the panel apart?

Silly question, if everything (mainboard, screen) is disconnected from the psu, would a good psu still have the continuous clicking when it's trying to turn on?

I believe on these models, it should turn on and backlight will glow, nothing further.
There's a thread on the forum about this model. Bad LED backlights. It's fixable but pretty involved work.

I'm confused, what I meant was when the psu makes clicking sounds when nothing is connected to it, could the psu be the culprit of all this? It's literally taken out of the tv all by itself and laying on the floor making the clicking sounds right now

Check the other thread, but yes I believe that can happen with bad or disconnected backlights. You need to have the LED backlight hooked up to test. If it still clicks with it hooked in consider bad backlight or PSU.
