Re: lg ps3000
With Z-sus out, you should get a distorted pink picture. do you? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: lg ps3000
Patience, m'lad. I was down by the pub with no internet.
Anyway, now try unplugging buffer boards to see if the voltages come back. If they do, try with only one buffer at a time. You only need to unplug the connections from the Y-sus, the orange ribbons may stay. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: lg ps3000
Huh?
Sounds like bad top buffer. You may get a glow on screen or half picture with only bottom in place.
Buffer boards are LG's biggest weakness...!Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: lg ps3000
As far as I know, that doesn't happen with these TVs, the buffer board was probably dodgy.
(Unless panel is cracked or the ribbons on edge of panel are wearing into frame, or if the TV is an early 2007 generation Panasonic FHD 42".)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by PlasMattI have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems. The same thing happened today so I checked logs to see if something in the control glitched and sent an off command but it didn't, After...

by reessiReplaced Zsus beginning of year as most transistors were short stopping tv powering up.
Now screen flashes on off continually and ZSUS ticks. Looking like replacement maybe faulty or could something else cause it to shut down.
If I remove both tabs from ZSUS to screen but keep all other connectors to ZSUS on then TV boots properly but screen very dark without ZSUS output, no ticking from ZSUS. So it only shuts down when under load from screen.
If it is ZSUS then how to fault find, I already looked for shorts. No transistors shorted or caps and its...12-13-2017, 01:18 PM -
