disconnect AC. check the two big white resistors. they are probably open.

I will only have the board for a few more days. if we can find out whats wrong today would be good.

Ok, look. The AC voltage that comes in goes more or less directly to the two middle pins of the bridge rectifier. You have to find out where this path is interrupted. If you cannot measure AC between the middle pins of the rectifier it should be fairly easy to find out.

I cannot guess what you want to say. They are in parallel with the AC voltage. You only need to look at what's in series . Which component can cause an interruption from AC in to the bridge rectifier. Just follow the path. Forget the relay, it only jumpers the white resistors, which you said are ok.

Simple resistor measurement will get you there

                    AC OFF!!

ok, i see what you are saying, it can only be one of the components leading up to the bridge rectifier.

In this post you said you have AC input voltage. So replacing anything between AC IN connector and this point won't help you. There are only the resistors between this point and the rectifier (where you measured nothing).

You said the resistors are ok. So I don't see where replacing any parts will lead you.

You are either not measuring correctly or there is something else we don't see.

When measuring resistance from one of the middle pins of the bridge rectifier to the AC input pins, what do you get?? Then from the other middle pin of the rectifier, what do you get?

I measured the wrong resistors. I had the board the wrong way round, as there are 4 of them, I tested the wrong ones as I was rushing yesterday

Ok, so if the two white resistors or one of them is open there are other component that need to be checked. First of all the bridge rectifier.

                                    Hi guys
I need one of these MP2329CGG for a repair job. It's a 24V 6.5A buck converter. But I have not been able to find a supplier who has that component.

Actually I would buy a few as I always think if I found one faulty already I will probably find more in the future

I had one supplier on Aliexpress who gave me a price $2 each, but I have been waiting some days since I asked for shipping price and they don't reply

Does anyone know where I can buy that part in small quantity (let's say 5 of them), or any equivalent I could use? it supplies the Standby...

Hello, although I've never been formally taught soldering techniques, etc... I've not really run into too much trouble soldering, with the exception of this job...

I've got a supposed blown transistor on my fuel pump on my car and I'm trying to replace it. It's a gel encased circuit booard with very fine connections. Please see photo uploaded.

I've cleaned up the area that I'm working on with alcohol scraped off the wires, etc..

I cannot get any solder to now stick any of the connections, I've used various grades of solder and flux combination, nothing...

                                    Hi all,

I had recently tried to reflash the bios on a dell latittude that has a Wson8 Chip however to no avail.

My question is, Has anyone had much success using the Pogo/Needle adapters to read and write bios without removing the chip from the main board?

I seem to struggling with the solder process wofh my reflow station and currently have 4 machines waiting for a bios mod/reflash.

For context I have just ordered a EZP2019 SPI flash so this is what I would be using alongside the Pogo Adapter.

Apologies if this is the wrong subcategory....

The usb stick does flash at the start like its reading it but then nothing, any ideas??? could it be a BIOS issue?

Beginner's question, sorry to waste your time...

I'm not certain of the values for the capacitor highlighted (on the picture with the tape) as I am seeking a replacement. Am I correct, looking at the schematics) to think it is a 33 pico Farad (pf) 25 Volts? The size seems to be 0201 from what I can assess and when I try to source a replacement, I'm struggling to find one and it doesn't look like something common.
Any help or suggestion welcome. This is on an Asus FX506H Quanta NJJ DANJJMB1AA0 Rev 1A...
