fingers crossed there is no other damage. the chap said he had a sparky round his house the week b4 sorting his house electrics out, then a week later he had a power cut because of the weather and the set never turned back on, fingers crossed there is no other damage

ok so i have changed filter no joy, i must have tested something wrong somewhere or has blown old filter and something else. i have not had chance to test it properly yet. i did test the rocker switch and it tested ok but on closer inspection it looks a bit melted.
when i plug the power cord in i can hear what sounds like a relay click from the area pictured and shorting sound if i can use that term

37VAC is not enough, must be the same voltage as input AC voltage.

Go right to the connector where it says 5VSB (CN801). Measuring DC you should have 5V.

Then connect a 1k resistor from 5VSB to RL_ON. The relay should come on and you should get 9V, 24V and 12V.

Then connect a 1k resistor from 5VSB to VS_ON. You should get about 190V VS and 60V VA. All DC.

                                    No.

Obviously the NCP1200 (8-PIN IC) is not oscillating.

From cathode of D103 to heatsink, do you read high voltage DC?
If not what do you read from the leftmost pin to the rightmost pin of the bridge rectifier BD101?

Voltage from cathode nothing .looking at the bridge rectifier from above the bottom pin 00.4 volts and the upper pin 00.5v dc

                                          I don't understand.

1st measurement: Put your multimeter probes on the 2 middle pins of BD101. Measure AC. What's the voltage?

2nd measurement: Put your multimeter on the two outer pins of BD101. Measure DC. What's the voltage?

                                            Hi guys
I need one of these MP2329CGG for a repair job. It's a 24V 6.5A buck converter. But I have not been able to find a supplier who has that component.

Actually I would buy a few as I always think if I found one faulty already I will probably find more in the future

I had one supplier on Aliexpress who gave me a price $2 each, but I have been waiting some days since I asked for shipping price and they don't reply

Does anyone know where I can buy that part in small quantity (let's say 5 of them), or any equivalent I could use? it supplies the Standby...

Hello, although I've never been formally taught soldering techniques, etc... I've not really run into too much trouble soldering, with the exception of this job...

I've got a supposed blown transistor on my fuel pump on my car and I'm trying to replace it. It's a gel encased circuit booard with very fine connections. Please see photo uploaded.

I've cleaned up the area that I'm working on with alcohol scraped off the wires, etc..

I cannot get any solder to now stick any of the connections, I've used various grades of solder and flux combination, nothing...

                                            Hi all,

I had recently tried to reflash the bios on a dell latittude that has a Wson8 Chip however to no avail.

My question is, Has anyone had much success using the Pogo/Needle adapters to read and write bios without removing the chip from the main board?

I seem to struggling with the solder process wofh my reflow station and currently have 4 machines waiting for a bios mod/reflash.

For context I have just ordered a EZP2019 SPI flash so this is what I would be using alongside the Pogo Adapter.

Apologies if this is the wrong subcategory....

Hi guys im struggling with a medion erazer deputy p40 laptop, it just hangs on the erazer logo screen, i have found the ssd faulty and replaces it but still the same fault, i have reset the battery, restored bios to defaults, tested with different ram, taken ssd out completely, i have even had a go at booting memtest x86 but its always hanging on the logo. The usb stick does flash at the start like its reading it but then nothing, any ideas??? could it be a BIOS issue?

                                            Hi there,

Beginner's question, sorry to waste your time...

I'm not certain of the values for the capacitor highlighted (on the picture with the tape) as I am seeking a replacement. Am I correct, looking at the schematics) to think it is a 33 pico Farad (pf) 25 Volts? The size seems to be 0201 from what I can assess and when I try to source a replacement, I'm struggling to find one and it doesn't look like something common.
Any help or suggestion welcome. This is on an Asus FX506H Quanta NJJ DANJJMB1AA0 Rev 1A...
