When i power on the tv a "please wait" image appears then goes away then nothing after that only sound

When i was removing the back cover i heard a rattle.

Removed the metal plate and the heat sink was off (see pic)
would this cause a no picture/image issue?

What is used to put back the heat sink

Maybe backlight problem. You can confirm it using flashlight point it to tv screen while tv is power on and check if you can see some display. If have display then you have a problem with your backlight or inverter.

You might want to hold up on putting the heatsink back on til after testing, it's ok to test without heatsink on as long as tv is not on for too long.
