Ok so parts arrived to the find out V REG LDO ADJ +1.25/13.8V 1117 is on backorder possible delivery time is 3rd of march,so does anyone know if I could get a replacement from eBay ?

Ok received the regulators changed them but still with back light flashing dam

Seems exactly as before but I've found a main board on eBay so I think I'll go for that

hi sorry to hear that the set is the same, before you buy a board try jumping without the resistor the backlight On and DIM i think that was the brown and green to PS On on the power board with the four wire plug out of the Av board, to see if the PS On supply will be up to both jobs. as when you put the jump on the the backlight before you had menu come up so should have been able to auto tune, only thing you will not be able to do is set backlights in menu. or more fault finding on main board to check why the BL On is not steady your call Flocko

That might be covering up future faults tho - you never know what a bad LDO might lead to...

Ok so thought ill order a replacement board arrived today exactly the same nothing so jumped with resistors like last time now all im getting is a flashing backlight

Did you jump the power connector too? (the one between main board and power board)

Last time I done this the screen came on and I could control the TV but now I can't control the side buttons

I'm really running short of ideas, because I cannot explain how the symptom keeps seeming to change? For one moment, works fine with resistors, other moment, it does not. Like there might be two independent faults here and they are interacting with each other? Any idea what the condition of the set was before the fault?

I bought it off a guy only had it a year then the screen started flickering immaculate to be fair

You need to test each board in turn take the main out and unplug the inverter jump the power board PS on to 5v stby first see what the output voltages are doing ? if they are Ok then jump BLon and Dim to stby plug inverter back in to see if back light come on, if the backlight come on then move on Flocko

@tom got another one of these but different from this last post totally dead but this time I used the resistors to jump the main board and I have the screen blinking, so in the last topic you replied if the screen flashes it's either power supply, invertor board or arc in panel I've changed the invertor board so it's not that so my question is what further tests can I do

Sorry my mistake when I got this its just a blue standby light not dead but no backlight

got the same fault here with the same tv, jumped back lights on no problem, all power seems to be where it should be, but not where you need it to turn the back lights on,
while forceing back lights on, i also have no pic or control over the buttons or remote, im thinking maybe epprom ?
what do you think guys ?

Glad I have seen this post, I also repaired one like this with the same inverter ect, found two leaky mosfets on the inverter which was causing the 24v and blon rails to slip, replaced them and the two caps and the set came back to life. Ive lost my notes though but the mosfets were I think 50n40's and the caps were 330uf 35v and 270uf 35v check them. Sorry for not being specific but there is a row of 4 mosfets and the one I repaired the bottom two mosfets were leaky.

Done one of these this week backlight cutting out you could not use remote or side buttons changed a regulator on the main board all working again
