Re: Confusion with Panasonic A boards

I broke down today and ordered the YSUS and ZSUS boards. So if this doesn't work, then I have only the lower buffer boards to replace and every board has been replaced. I'll post my findings once my boards get here.

OK, I received the Ysus and Zsus boards and they worked. But as stated above, I think this tv was a dumping ground for bad boards. The tv turns on and works but I have black lines. To me I think the panel is shot but I'll let you all decide. The only boards that haven't been replaced are the lower buffer boards. Can the buffers cause this problem? I'm thinking not. Pictures attached.

EDIT: I tried to reseat the ribbon cables on the Ysus or SN board as they call it.

Keep trying to reseat the SN ribbons to panel . Thay can be tricky, you can feel them wedge in. Must sure TV is off, where the lines are will line up the ribbon, they're the ones to focus on.

where there are no lines, compare those ribbons to the bad ones, they do have side markers to help determine in they are in and straight.

Thanks, I'll play with it tonight.

So does this mean my panel is good?

Hard to say, if you can't get rid of those lines then no so good. Flex cables could be damaged or missing contacts?

You were correct. I reseated the ribbon cables about half a dozen times and voila working tv. Only had to replace the SN, SS, and the A boards. Into it for $300. Too much money but I wasn't going to let it get the best of me.

              Thanks again

I needed an AP board. Couldn't find one. I used an AT board. Could have used an AR board but I would have had to remove the DB9 port. How I came to picking that board was by searching the panel sticker on shopjimmy. It gave me those boards. They didn't have any stock so I had to resort to Ebay.

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                    by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Panasonic plasma A boards/Kuro media box repair.
                    by Erik Masters
                    Hi all.

I have 2 Panasonic plasma A boards for ST50 50"/65" and Kuro KRP 500A media box which needs repair.
I'm not good enough at component repair so I need some help.
A boards and especially Kuro media box is still very valuable and I can't throw it away like some average Joe,lol

I'm from Europe/Slovakia and I'm searching for someone who is willing to repair these things or some tips at least.

Both A boards have HDMI issue either no signal or flickering.
And media box possibly with voltage regulator issue which is common...

Panasonic TC-P65S2 SU or SD Boards Bad?
                    by midnightg35x
I have a TC-P65S2 that blew an SC board (I had a previous post about some cross references). When I put the repaired SC board in, it worked with the SD and SU boards isolated and SC50 jumped. I reinstalled the SD and SU boards. I did forget to remove the SC50 jumper, but from what I understand about how that jumper works, that should not cause SC board destruction with properly working SC/SD/SU boards. When I turned the TV back on, the SC board blew again. Based on the fact the SC board was working without the SU and SD boards, it at least makes sense that one or both of them is bad.

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
                    by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

                    I'm stuck . Panasonic TH-L32U20M panel's boards issue
                    by Ancient1
                    Hi

The TV seem to start ( blinking green) but goes into blinking red. No display and or backlight. Full view photo.

                    Actions :

                    1. Disconnected Panel's Right, 2nd, board : TV comes ON (steady green , no blinking red )
1a. You can see in two photos the B/W screen , fading blue "HDMI12" , and the wierd sides of the image, like an old CRT.
Obviously the fault is from or on the Right, secondary board

                    2. I taped the Flex tracks, ~2 tracks at a time- see Photo. The issue seems to be on the V lines (Assuming Data...
