Samsung QE50Q60TAU - Horizontal screen lines

Hi everyone, the tv was in a continuous reboot cycle. To get the best screen image i can I taped the VGH and VSS pins on the left side buffer board joining ribbon.

I am left with a good image apart from the black horizontal lines that I cannot get rid of.

I cannot find anything on the buffer boards that has shorted.

Do you think there is anything i can do to eliminate the lines, or are they caused by an internal panel short and the image cannot be impoved.

    Many thanks for your assistance

for me its low for VGH rail diode 33C.it tested good but the problem will be at the minimum V. so the response in ms will be higher than it should 0.8ms . t-con on MB will response faster to shutting down.there are several reasons need to start from MB caps / regulator to Panel buffer boards in case VGH are high when panel unplugged.

Some spare lines indicates there are several shorts on the row drivers, probably integrated to the glass, the only mode i can suggest you now (to be short) is a method i used once long time ago, and is a short killing method..

Sorry for the delay in responding, I’ve been very confused.

I disconnected the Panel buffer boards but still only had 25v max output from the MB. I rechecked the buffer board components again with a newer multimeter but did not find anything amiss.

As a last resort i reconnected MB to the buffer boards without any pins being isolated. I was going to use Isopropol to coat the chip on the left hand buffer board to see if it was heating up during the start up procedure as I don’t have a thermal camera.

Switched on and it started up without any issue with a good picture !!!!
I have restarted it several times and ran it for an hour, with no problems.

I now have a working tv with a good picture but have no idea why. (I hope it starts ok tomorrow)

Many thanks for all your help guys.

when expected V go lower than usual, always will be no defect parts. but value change at parts. with yours checking on VGH circuit on MB, you had discharged parts which they were under charging.
try after you watching TV, turn it off completely from the wall cord. this will help to start again next day.

As stated by the person I collected the TV from, it just stopped working overnight. However, I still gave it a go to try and repair it.

There is a thread on the same TV but with slightly different issues where they had to tape connection points on the ribbon cable, so I want to see if this is repairable by any chance.

After bringing it home and plugging it in, the TV turned on with its backlight working but had no picture. After removing the back cover, the first thing I tried is to unplug one of the ribbon cables and the situation is as follows.

                          Left...

Sony XBR-65X750D Horizontal lines bottom of screen
                          by ggil44
Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Samsung QN70Q6DTA Ghost or horizontal lines after tape fix horizontal line
                          by Ihandyrepair
                          Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

                          Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                          by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                          by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...
