    SamSung LNT4669F Nasty flicker

Samsung LNT4669F that has a real bad flicker to it. It used to flicker until it warmed up like 20min then would be fine but now it's all the time. I don't see anything visually (bloated cap, burnt) So not sure what my next step is? Any help is appreciated!

    Backlight flickering or not?

OK, turn set on in a dark room and look at the back of the chassis. Backlight visible thru the holes. Do you see the flickering there? Or only when looking at the picture?

Does not look like the backlight is flickering just the picture.

OK, can you possibly get a video of this flicker, so we know what we're dealing with? For now, I would not focus on power supply, it is probably not causing the issue.

I will try. I just noticed during the flicker it kind of looks like 2 horizontal bars come in from the right.

Looks like a panel tab bonds issue. Symptoms vary. It's sometimes fixable, though not always.

Ya, I seen that video a while back. Just seems to me that it would not be the whole screen flickering if it was that.

Only half of your display is flickering, though.

Looks to me like the whole thing is but only those little bars are on the right. I will try the fix in the video and report back I guess.

Well poopie! It was in a ribbon cable. I tried a version of the fix in the youtube video and it fixed the flicker but now I have a bar down the far right side of the screen and even messing with that cable it won't go away.
