    Help! Tore off a pad/trace !

BN41-01600A IR/Capacitive Button assembly. From a Samsung UN55D6000 but there are other models that use it including their plasma tvs.

I made a bonehead move and tore four of seven pads off. All have been repaired except one - I cannot for the life of me see where the trace is or where it goes. Need a good landing spot for a jumper.

Anyone have one of these in their junk pile they could trace out for me ?

OK that's a rare one. Out of all the broken Samsung and insignia tvs I have they are all the seven pin style. I would have no idea. But I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a broken set I can check out.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Thanks bro, but I know I can get one. Seems like such a waste when all I have to do is repair one trace...

yeah, I'm sure you do and yes forking out the $$ hurts for a boo boo. It was as much for part number clarification as I suspect the other is the PCB with several versions available.

Just in case it helped unearth something searching the other number.

              Good luck anyway

I have a feeling in the end I will buy one just to repair the one I have lol.

The 32 had a completely different connection. 8pins in all there. And the last trace went to a pin on the ic. I think you have a rare breed of contacts. Possibly newer version of the touch sensitive pad.

Crap. Ok thanks for looking into it. The set is back together and powers on by itself I guess because that was the last state before it went tits up but it is of course deaf and dumb at that point. Looks like I'm in the market for a replacement.

Shout out to eBay seller amy_manas who put a meter to a unit he had for sale and found my missing trace to lead to the other side of the board !

Board fully repaired and tv fully reassembled. Thanks guys. Another one in the "win" column.

Firstly I tried to bridging tiny broken trace with my own eyes...But it is totally impossible..So a week ago, I ordered G1200 Digital Microscope and I magnified this tiny broken trace with it.

But It seems that It is really very tiny trace So I plan to order 0.1mm coper wire from aliexpress in order to bridging...

                                      Hi guys,

I've been trying to restore this Yamaha RM1X groove-box I bought, and the first thing on my agenda was to replace a bad capacitor that was making it so that the screen was super dim. As I'm a complete novice I went and accidentally pulled off one of the trace pads for the SMD capacitor as I was removing it, pulling up some of the green PCB with it. I've been trying to repair it by gluing down copper tape from where it began to pull off and solder the capacitor on after...atm I've just been attempting to do the same kind of thing on rubbish PCBs I got at a recycling place,...

Why is my silver conductive trace paint not conductive?
                                      by SluggerB
I'm working on repairing a keyboard, there is trace damage on the membrane. So I got my little pen of silver conductive trace repair paint and repaired the trace. Let it completely dry, test it, and its not working. So I take my multimeter out, put it on continuity, touch 2 different area of the paint, and nothing. I put it on resistance, I get OL most of the time, occasionally it might flash to something ridiculous like 17 mega ohms or something.

Why is this stuff not working? This is what I am using https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B88B9KI

CMOS battery holder solder pad trace
                                      by Kemer
                                      Hi,
I will add a photo of HP 15 laptop mainboard. The positive side of CMOS battery holder solder pad has been broken. What I want to ask is, the trace of positive pole. If you look at the photo, you will notice red color "A" and "B" letters for two different shades of blue.

                                      Anybody help?...
