Sony XBR-55X930D Magically turns itself on

I got paid to take this. It had the typical bad STBY IC on the DPS board. Replace it and life was grand....or so I thought. I've never seen this one before; this TV will just magically turns itself on for no particular reason on earth. I did a hard reset on it (twice) clearing all data & settings out.....will still do this. Even removed the batteries from the remote....in the unlikely even there was a stuck key... Still doing it. I did not set up any of the 'smart' functions, I just fed it a source from a HTPC. It doesn't matter what input is selected.....still does it. No rhyme or reason as to frequency. Stayed off all weekend (thought I had it beat)....then all of a sudden today I was in the workroom working on something else and it came on.... Turned it off....a few minutes later, back on....rinse repeat. Time increments between powering itself up are not the same (I did time it out of curiosity). Sometimes it'll stay off for 2 minutes, the next time it might take 20 minutes.... All timers are off. Bravia 'sync' is off. I'm out of answers.

It otherwise works fine. Gorgeous picture on it....

Try disconnecting the control buttons (joystick) from the motherboard and test without them (the power button may leak and create a false switch).

...but wouldn't this cause it to turn off or if stuck long enough cause a reboot? It doesn't do either of those. It'll stay on until turned off again.... I will try it though....but I don't think that's it. Spooky.

That was my thought also. Disc the buttons. Maybe someone has a remote through wall if your at apartment.

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

          Sony KDL-46HX850 Can't upgrade/update firmware
          by dkneyle
Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.

Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me. I can see the LED on the USB chip flash for about...
