Try this. Unzip, put on a stick (formatted FAT32), unplug the TV, plug the stick into the usb, plug the TV into the socket. Update starts. Wait for it to finish.

Reloading the firmware (upgrade_loader) also makes little sense if there is no image. Then you would benefit more from resetting the Setoption, even though in this case it seems to me that the panel has a problem. Measure whether the t-con receives 12V and then you can measure some voltages on the t-con. An important one is the 15V to the panel.Comment

1. If VGH and/or VGL disappear when you connect the ribbons from the panel, you have problems with the panel.
2. If VGH and/or VGL are not there even if you have disconnected the ribbons from the panel, then you have a defective T-con. The T-con can also burn due to a defective panel.
3. There are T-cones that come into protection when the ribbons are disconnected.Last edited by yokoono; 03-19-2024, 07:25 AM.Comment

by silikon77Hi!
Got an 70 inch Philips tv model 70pus7855/12 from scraps and I decidet to give it a go. I'm an enthusiast but no porfessional in the electronics.
Found some advices watching youtube nad came up with this:
It came with no picture, after diagnosing it I found out that the right side of the T.con board was faulty.
I taped down the clock signals and I got a picture but the left side of the panel has less pronounced colours. Only the right 3rd side of the panel has good colors.
See attached picture.
I tried a few combinations to block individual clock...1 Photo01-02-2025, 02:26 PM -
I have a Quantum SuperLoader robotic tape library that uses an IBM LTO 7 tape drive which is constantly complaining that it needs cleaning. If you insert a cleaning tape, it performs the clean and resets the cleaning counter to 0 hours. It should only require cleaning every 50 or so working hours but after as little as just 1 hours use it requests cleaning. We've purchased a new cleaning tape along with new LTO backup tapes but that has not resolved the problem.
I have taken the library apart and can see no noticeable signs of dust inside. I have removed the tape drive from the... -

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by ezeniaHello,
Not sure if this is the correct section, but I have a PS4 controller that I am trying to fix. It developed stick drift on the left stick and the usual simpler methods did not fix the problem.
So I went on eBay and ordered some replacement potentiometers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174967976757 is where I got them from.
I took the green potentiometers off the replacement sticks and soldered them onto the PCB. Assembled the controller and ran some tests. The drifting was somewhat fixed (not fully in center, but way better than before). However,... -
by triplefourI've been seeing a lot of the new TVs (samsung and LG only i think) maybe 1-2 years old suffering from sudden panel death and have been over 50% successful bringing them at least most of the way back to functionality if not all the way, with the tape masking of the LVDS pins method.
add this one to the list. the issue was on the left side of the panel and i ended up blocking just 3 pins on the connector that joins the two panel boards that make up the left side of the panel (it has 4 boards total) i didnt get the picture back to 100% perfect. i spent hours fiddling with which pins to block...07-17-2023, 10:22 PM - Loading...
