From memory they have different colour transformers, they are wound for different output voltage ranges.

Its a bit academic --which transformer--You'll still have to get a donor board to get the replacement sub-board from!
--If you do that--might as well replace the whole thing!

Hello, I have a similar problem with the same model TV, LG 42PC1D. I don’t know if I should carry on this discussion or start a new one but here goes. Hopefully someone can on this forum has got more experience with this modem and can give some advice.

My 42PC1D always had some red dots on black background. It never bothered me too much. One day it died (switched off) I replaced the Y-SUS board and it worked for a few days. After a few days I started getting grainy image when the set was cold. As soon as it warmed up it worked. The graining got worse and worse until it stopped working. Now I get a nearly black picture with flickering white dots. I can just about make out the menu on the screen so I know the TV as such is working because the menu comes up.

Checked the voltages. Vs and vA is fine. However, on the Z-SUS board the Vzb is supposed to be 100V DC but I can only adjust it down to about 130V DC. It is adjustable between 130V and 144V. What would cause Vzb do be high? Also, would a high Vzb cause the fault I am seeing?

Replace these in red on power board first then recheck All your voltages.

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
                by Rozp
                Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

ACER BM320 Monitor - Horizonal Flickering Lines After a While
                by reessi
                Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...

Fixing an I-Inc IF281D for the 3rd time, now with added flickering!
                by DrvLikHell
Hello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.

The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...

Panasonic P42S30 Plasma - Pink sparkles
                by Lintesir
My parents' Panasonic P42S30 died recently, and they asked me to have a look at it. I was able to identify the SN-board as the culprit, as it was shorted. After removing Q401, Q402, Q421 and Q422 the short was gone, so I replaced these components and that got the TV working again. However, when testing the tv a bit, I noticed quite bad pinkish sparkles on some colors. For instance the greyish bar on this forum seems to trigger it quite badly. I made a fullscreen test picture with only that color, with the below result.

There is about a 5cm high region at the top without any sparkles,...
