Had a short on this model also, would not power up only with power cable removed. So my solution was kinda backwards.Ic 1503 and a 6 pin ic to left of it was shorted which has to do with usb functions. So instead of ordering board Bn97-06022a which was 263$ only source avail i removed these components altogether. The tv works just fine without them. You can see damage in pic.

        Re: UN55D6000 Blinking Standby Light

Had 8 burnt LEDs on left and 1 on right side. Blinking light. Checked power supply, reflowed main board chips, then I found this forum.
        Ordered 20x LTW-Z5630SZL65
        https://www.digikey.ca/products/en?k...=160-2063-1-ND
Brightness seems correct at 41 lm (33-50 lm), but the color is slightly too yellow at 6500k.
Noticed the LEDs near the bottom seem more used (stained black?) than the ones at the top. 6 of the 8 leds burn on the left side were on the bottom 15 leds or so.
Its been on and running for 24 hours with no issue and no overheating.
Few things I could advise when doing the LED replacement, most important is dont lose any of the screws and dont strip the screws when taking them out. I stripped two screws on the outside metal frame and it drove me nuts cause I had to file a groove and take them out with a flathead! Losing the screws for the LEDs could be bad because they create alot of heat and need to be secured really well.
File or cut down the LEDs you want to replace so the contacts are showing for all 3, +,-,and the center heat sink. I used solder iron at 380C with flux and gently lifted the LED as I was heating all three contacts at the same time. Sometimes the LED came out in pieces, other times it came out in one piece. This is the best way to avoid damaging the contacts, in my opinion.
Plastic retaining clips around the LCD were brittle and cracked, especially on the sides where the LEDs are. I just ignored it but the pieces kept falling and i was worried it would scratch my screen, so i kept vacuuming so i didnt miss any pieces.
Thanks for all the good information posted here with regards to the issue. If I feel inclined in the future I may replace those lights with cooler ones, but it really isnt noticeable 95% of the time.
Secondary issue - left sub speaker was torn (loud distorted farting sound). Took the metal plate off the speaker and used B7000 jewlers/cellphone glue. The glue was a bit expired cause it was a bit globy, but the tear was alond the long edge near the outside. I covered the parts I didnt want stuck with tape, just incase. Laid a bead along the long tear and pushed it down like bathroom caulking and used a piece of tape to pull the inside of the speaker up so there arnt any gaps in the seal. Problem seemed to work. If I could do it again I would use Flex Seal, but whatever. Found this TV in my recycling after boxing day, repairs costed less than $20 CAD for the LEDs from Digikey. Everything else I had on hand.
Best of luck to anyone working on this sucker.

          UN55D6000SFXZA
          PSU BN44-0042A
          MAIN BN94-04358C

Initial Symptom: TV turns on, no picture, LED blinks and the PSU seemed to be cycling ( could hear it )

Initial Repair: Since I've fixed many TVs with this same type of problem, the first thing I did is to power up the LED strips at which time I found the LEFT side strip out. I pulled the strip and verified that a few LEDs were bad. Ordered a replacement strip from China.

Existing Symptom: Once the replacement strip was installed the TV does not power up at all, no backlights, no LED ( solid nor blink ). I was very surprised by this.

Troubleshooting: Checked LED Strips again all working. When I disconnect the cable between MAIN & PSU, the LED strips turn on. Also all the voltages are available on the PSU ( see below ). When I connect back all the voltages drop to 0 which leads me to believe that I somehow fried the MAIN.

PSU CM803 Pins - Not Connected to Main
          1, 2, 6 - NC
          10, 11, 12 - GND
          3 - B13V (12.5v)
          4 - EPWM (3.2v)
          5 - B13V (12.75v)
          7 - Vamp (12.75v)
          8 - BLU_ON (3.0v)
          9 - Vamp (16.82v)
          13 - B5V (5.39v)
          14 - ASV (5.39v)
          15 - B5V (5.38v)
          16 - PSU_ON (3.38v)

Question: This TV uses a BN94-04358C MAIN, but can a BN94-04358A, B, or D be used in its place ? I assume the difference is probably firmware and not component ?

Thanks, that is very helpful. Unfortunately I went through all those part #s and found nothing affordable. Not sure why this particular board/TV combo is so expensive. Anything over $30 is not worth spending on this old TV.

So my only option is to try to troubleshoot the MAIN or recycle it.

I am still not sure if the MAIN is fried or simply that the PSU is getting a signal to pull all the voltages. Although obvious, I still fail to see how I fried the MAIN simply by replacing the LED strip. I've done many LED strips and never had this happen. I also practice ESD but you never know.

So the standby A5V drops to 0 Volt when all the boards are connected back together?
Did you inspect both ends of the connectors of the cable that goes between power supply and the main board? This series is known for burnt out connector due to poor contact resistance.

Some voltage testing there, maybe check the voltage regulators on the mainboard like he's doing there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocqnqmBxiqY

Wonder if there's a problem with cable from powerboard to mainboard, can check continuity from end to end, just have to be careful not to spread out the connections, I use stripped bread ties when necessary so as not to distort them.

Maybe also check the solder joints of CNM803 on powerboard and the joints of the other side too where it plugs into mainboard.

@budm - Yes A5V, along with all other voltages on that connector, drop to 0.
I did inspect the connector closely, including all the crimps, and it looks practically new. I also did a full continuity on each pin and it is fine.

@ nomoresonys - Yes familiar with this video but unfortunately there are no voltages anywhere on the MAIN, it is like it is suffering from a major short although I am not able to find/measure one.

Just to make sure, I resoldered CNM803 on both boards although I saw no solder cracks nor cold solder joints.

The PSU Filter Cap measure 350 when LED rings are on but drops to about 260V when I connect the connector and the LED rings turn off.

                            1) So the A5V tested at the power supply connector side (not at the main board side) shows 0V, correct? For A5V to drop to 0v, it has to be dead shorts.
                            2) Have all the cable back in place then check the resistance on the A5V with ref to GND.

Fully agree but have not been able to find anything that would pull down those voltages.. Nor can I explain how this is now not working only by switching the LED strip. Unfortunately I am a very impatient man and moving on to another TV. I'll post additional results after a few bottles of wine

Try having nothing else connected to the main board but just the cable between main and power supply board and see what will happen to the standby Voltage.

Same, the short ( if any ) appears when the Main is connected. For now I put the TV in storage while I work on others, I'll get back to it sometime in the near future. Thanks all for the help

I am not an expert repaired, but why you don't try to detect the short touching with fingers same parts of the Main?? or your freezer spray on the MAin?

I am working on a QN750Q8FNBFXZA. Dead except the standby light. It blinks what appears to be 1 3 1 2. 1 long blink, pause, 3 short, pause, 1 long, pause, 2 short, pause, repeat. A service manual would be very helpful, or if anyone knows these error codes. Thanks!

                                          Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

                                          Hi everyone,
I'm trying to troubleshoot and repair this old LG OLED curved TV, model 55EG910V.
I did some basic troubleshooting and reviewed most related posts here, but I wasn't able to isolate the issue.

The TV shut itself off during playback and never came back to life - the standby light remains off. My dad claims that it has happened a few times in the past but the issue resolved itself after some time. Not this one.

After checking the basics I did the following:
                                          • I measured all voltages and as expected the only active supply is the 3.5V standby. It

                                          TV: Samsung QLED QE65Q7FNAT
                                          PSU: BN4400940A
                                          MB: BN94-12832K

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...
