Need to be able to see smallest print and parts, so they are marginal - PANEL_VCC is on BE board, so please get a pic of that, maybe four separate ones of each corner?

Can't find a BE board only a B board would that be it? A TV repair man has told the person I brought the TV off that it needs a new power supply should I just throw the TV?

Never believe what the person tells you, in 90% of cases for me it has been dead wrong!

I don't know why you would throw away the TV but if you so wish then you can do so. I mean, it seems silly to me to give up early on a nice TV. If you do wish to dispose of the TV, there appears to be a member on this forum who would be otherwise interested.

Just updating this thread for anyone looking in the future.

I eventually managed to buy this Tv from the above member, the board at fault did turned out to be the BE board(main board with the HDMI slots), the offending component was what they call a "Surface Mount Chopper Regulator" part No: PQ1CY1032Z, it's the 5 pin device about an inch to the right of the power connector, 18v input was present but no 10.5v on the output so the chip had blown, maybe because of the storm surge I don't know, anyway a simple change of the board resolved all issues, I did have to use one from a 40" model but it worked just the same, Tv is working beautifully and on my wall, a good picture it is too, a very even screen.
