    Samsung LN46C530 Won't Turn On

My Samsung LN46C530 will not turn on. I press the power button and the red power light will flash 5 times and it will not turn on. There is no chime or anything. I used to be able to unplug it and after a while it would come back on but that does not work any more. I pulled the back off and visually inspected the capacitors. They all appeared fine. I didn't expect to see damaged capacitors since this tv was manufactured in 2010. How would I go about troubleshooting to determine if it is a bad power board or main board?

    Thanks,
    William

Post good clear pictures of the back side of the TV so we can see what we are dealing with. Also get the P/N of the power supply board, it should be BNXX-XXXXX.

The power supply board is BN44-00341A. The main board is BN41-01477A. Thanks for the PDF. I unplugged the main board from the power board and plugged the TV up. The backlight did in fact come on. I have attached the images.

          Thanks,

"I unplugged the main board from the power board and plugged the TV up. The backlight did in fact come on." OK, that means you have main board problem. I myself never have any luck fixing SAMSUNG Main board.

Heat is your best friend. Heat up the board a little and see if it pops on but if an eeprom issue might just get another board.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

I think with all the Samsung lcd and plasma TVs having eeprom issues lately we may find that someday someone's going to say "whoa you have a working Samsung lcd! That's amazing! " lol

I am fine with purchasing a new main if it is a major headache to troubleshoot. I just want to be sure that is where the problem is before I buy one.

Did you ever resolve the issue? I have a similar issue with Samsung LE46C750R2K. Standby light flashes endlessley, backlight comes on when mainboard is unplugged.
