Philips 37" tv wont power on 37PFL662D/05

Morning gents and ladies,

Hope everyone is well today? This is my first post on here (apart from the obligatory welcome post).

Im having some puzzling issues with a Philips 37" tv that wont power on. The model number is 37PFL662D/05.

I started having an issue with vertical lines showing on the screen after circa 30 minutes usage and decided to swap the video processing board. However since then the TV wont power on. Just to try and get this issue dealt with.. I purchased a new power board (both parts are eBay purchases but sold as tested and working from reputable buyers) but not the TV will not power on.

I have tried the video board in another TV that takes the same board and it works fine.

Ive ran a multimeter at the power in and its reading 230v but other than that I am stumped.

I just cant see two power boards being faulty?

Anyone got any ideas? Could it be the way everything connected? Could the power button be faulty? Or am I missing the point entirely?

hi - power button could be faulty or not plugged in?
Tried remote?
Please post good clear pictures of your board s( decide which ps you want to troubleshoot) and one of the back of the set all connected up.

Sounds like the main board is not sending signal to ps to switch on but
cant see how what you have done would cause that.

Your original fault is NOT related to main board or power board, but to the LCD panel failing. Tab bonds fault, may or may not be fixable. Tried putting both original boards back in?

Thanks for the reply, I have just put the original board back in and now the unit powers up fine (spose that warrants a refund from the ebay power board!) however now the LCD appears to be totally black, no picture or menus, but the backlight is active (if I tap on the screen I can see the backlight is working)
