first i ave the 10 blinks, after board isolation it go 6 blinks=su-sd/sc board in the troubleshooting guide .....when i unplug the sc board only, the vsus go to 200v then drop slowly to zero and the green led is on ss board ,that tell me my ss is ok if the sc board is plug =no voltage at all each side and no light on ss board

You need to start a new thread and some photos of the layout of the TV. Also the PSU part number and a shot of that.

Re: try to repair 50" panasonic "tnpa4782"

i found info for your 50px80a the 2 blink code for your tv is a sos 15v it MAYBE
came from the "d" board ...These 3 conditions can cause the TV to shutdown and the power LED to blink 2 times=Missing P15V
          2.
          A short of the P15V
          3.
Wrong diagnostic by the D board......When troubleshooting a PDP TV that is shutting down and the power LED blinks 2 times:
Find out if 15V is output at pin 1 of connector P7 of the P board.
If no voltage is output, measure resistance between pin 1 of connector P7 and ground (Chassis). If a shorted 15V is detected, find out if it’s coming from the P board or if it’s coming from any of the other boards that the 15V volt is connected to.
If the P board is OK, disconnect the connectors providing the P15V to all these boards while measuring resistance between pin 1 of connector P7 and ground.
The defective board is found when the connector that provides the P15V to that board is removed and the short circuit is no-longer present

D865 is the diode number the on the board. the other number is the manufacturers part number. If the diode is not fried or broken, remove it and get the number off the part if possable obsrving the polarity markings if drawn on the boards silkscreen.

most likely a 1N4007 general purpose diode if the b0eckp000047 give the correct clue in the last part of the number or its a coinceidence

get the correct part or a suitable sub . I don't think a standard rectifier diode will cut it for fast recovery diode.

It will be a Rohm RF101L4S

Unfortunately replacing just the IGBTs rarely works. Finding all the shorted big stuff is easy.

Other items to watch out for are failed 5v regs, inverter ICs, FET drivers, gate resistors, smd transistors, diodes, optocouplers.

Worst thing about a failed repair is potentially more parts damaged now.

                            It's a tough task.

Another guy has been trying and replaced a lot more than that and his Q661 blew again.

I've done a TNPA5081, that's it. Try a search and have a read. Might giive some insight, cct have some similarities.

A TNPA4829 was just fixed purely on IGBTs and a diode, luck of the draw.

I replaced a lot of things on TNPA4782, not just IGBTs, but obviously missed something and it blew again

I'll open a new thread so hopefully will get some help and fix it this time

Yeah, well that goes without saying. Always check those before installing a Sc replacement, it may have blown regardless but now you don't know.

You can always jumper SC50 on the Sc and power up without the buffers in future. that's how I tested my repaired SCs initially but still buffer board resistance needs checking before final test.

Any info on how you checked the buffers and what was short? I have had the 5V line on the buffers shorted and the 5V reg on the SC had failed also that supplied it. That was on the 2010 series I was working on.

Not overly familiar with this one though, 2009 model.

I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

                                      by Rictech
                                      Hello everyone. 😀

As per thread title, this unit has a serious SMPSU fault. It blows F1001, which is a 10A M205 in the phase from the mains input.
Very first thing I tried, was simply replacing the fuse, but the replacement ceramic fuse blew immediately.

Looking at the schematic for this PSU, I then removed what I thought was the next likely candidate: D1001 - the HV main bridge rectifier.
This isolated the fault(no longer blows the main fuse), but does not point me to the actual fault.
There are no devices that have exploded or otherwise show signs...

                                      Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
